Husband was knocked off his bike two weeks ago and his head scratched the floor slightly with his helmet. No obvious damage and his head did not bang down on the floor. It is a very new helmet but ive been told it should still be replaced. What do you think?

i drive a 95 galant currently at 195,000 miles lately its really hard to steer sometimes and it leaks power steering fluid. my mechanic told me the rack and pinion needs replacing but it'll cost me $580 for the part is that true or could it be something else?

I really want to find a resonably priced nissan 300zx somewhere around Erie Pa but I cant find anything in my price range($6k). All I can find are useless automatics. How hard and costly would it be to buy an automatic 300zx and change it to a standard? Any help/advice would be greatly appretiated.

Hello. I am thinking about buying an Altima. I also like the Intelligent Key feature. But I have a question. If the Intelligent key becomes a problem for whatever reason (dead battery, deprogramming, system just plan turns to crap), does the Altima have the regular key ignition system as a backup. Or is it Intelligent Key or nothing?

I've discovered some dishonesty amongst us. I have been informed by a very reliable source that Electhro # 3 Top 10 (A.K.A. Dammm) has been cheating by giving himself two votes on every answer just to bring his rank up.

His double identity was proven a few weeks back when Dammm put the "10 Years of Xperience Electrical Engineer" as his signature then later removed it.

I will re-post this from time to time to make everyone aware of this phony.

i have an old honda that just got a new carburator but wont start. it's starts to turn over but the stops after like 1 1/2 seconds. the battery was fine and i think the alternator is in good condition. what do i do?

I recently received my upcoming insurance policy for 2007-2008 and noticed that the included driving history record showed an "Improper equipment" violation that was worth 2 points. This "Improper equipment" violation is referring to when I got pulled over (and was given a ticket) for a burnt out license plate light last year. Is this legit or is my insurance company just trying to get more money out of my policy?

Will Tci Roll stop from jegs.com aka. Line lock, launch control. work on a 99 porsche boxster with abs system. My Abs system divides up into 4 brake lines, i have 2 rollstop kits could i install 1 for each front brake line? would it affect the abs system?

How to determine if the starter is bad? It clicks when attached. But unhooked it can be turned over with a screwdriver by touching electrodes.

Hey all.
My question is involving the thunderheader exhaust.
The only system for my bike, an 07 dyna, that I can find by thunderheader says it is Black. Well I know what that means, but right about it, it also says 06-07 dyna TC88. Now, I'm not sure why this is? Mine is a TC96 and it can work with other exhaust systems that are 06-07 dynas, and they dont say need to be a TC88. Can anyone correct me on this, or do they just not make a Thunderheader for my bike yet? (other than black, which I don't really want?)

The battery was flat..
The car was on a hill.
My wife tried to "push-start" it by letting the brake go....
She put the car into "P" while driving at 20mph, and then "D"
Ohhh dear..
What part(s) should ask the garage to look at/replace?
What is the worst case?

It appears to work ok at the moment despite the trauma.

I over heated my engine real bad the past weekend(the antifreeze was boiling out of the over flow container) and now my engine idles and drives really jumpy and rough, is it possible to have messed up a cylinder and how would this be repaired?

I have a '99 Nissan Frontier 4x4, its a v6, and has about 170 to 180 HP stock, i have a dual flowmaster exhaust, adding about 10 HP maybe, and a FramBoost cool air intake, adding about 24 HP at peak 5000 rpm, so around 17 or 18 HP just cruising, what else can I do to improve my HP and Torque, within a reasonable price range. Also, im not a mechanic so if you have any suggestions please explain what it is and where i could most likely find one.

I have a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. The back brakes seem to be having trouble. It first started everytime I would go in reverse they would make a really loud noise and then go away when I pressed the brake. Then the back brakes would start squealling when I WASN'T pressing the brakes and then go away when I came to a complete stop. This would happen randomly or when I hit a large bump/pot hole. Now when I go in reverse it is hard to move the steering wheel. I don't know if that is related to the brakes or not. Anyway.. I would like to know what is exactly wrong with my brakes and about how much it would cost to get it fixed. I'm on a low budget right now. Also.. It is harder to stop (takes longer etc). I don't know much about cars so any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
