Wow so my truck stalled out one night.. it cranked back up, but the engine was very shaky and jerky. The RPMs were revving by itself, and the gears were jerking. Well I had it towed to a Dodge dealership... 3 WEEKS AGO..

Week 1- They said it was the spark plug wires, would get some new ones, and it'll be ready

Week 2- Nope, this week it's the camshaft thats locked up, and it's running on 3 cylinders. They sent an oil sample to the factory, and would let me know a day later. Didn't hear anything!

Week 3- I called today.. and the lady said the guy was pulling down the left valve covers.

WTF is going on?? What do I do? Its been 3 weeks

Was looking around for a E39 between year 2001-2003 and came across this 2002 E39. It has got a real low mileage (only about 40,000 km), is it possible? Or is it possible that the mileage can be adjusted? Any way that I can find out? i.e. hook up the laptop to the ECU, etc ..... ?

She wants to sell the car. It has over 200,000 miles, broken air, no CD, and broken turn signals. Kelly's blue book says it is worth $480. She's lucky she found a buyer for it. Buyer asks her to drop off car at shop. Ex-husband now says she can't sell it, because title is in his name. She says then go get it from the shop and pay for the repairs. He doesn't want to pay for the repairs. He wants to take her and the buyer to Small Claims Court to make them pay for the repairs ($165 total). Who is obligated to pay for the car repairs?

My engine in my 1978 Toyota Landcruiser FJ-40 is leaking oil pretty fast. What might be the reason behind this and what can I do to stop it?

e.g. speed limit signs can have small transmitters which transmits sginals to receivers installed in the car's cpu, which in turn will limit the car's maximum speed to the posted limit.

we'll have to revise the current speed limits though. they're remnants of antiquated speed limits formulated in a time when cars were unsafe and unreliable. what do you think?

Does anyone know a mechanic in Atlanta that works on VW Jetta's? I would like to find someone with their own business who might not charge as much as the VW dealership. It's a '96, standard transmission and all the coolant just ran out onto the ground. Thanks.

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me the problems with Gas conversion for Petrol engines pls? I have witnessed my friend's Maruti Esteem burnt totally after he went for Gas. But one of my Delhi friend says most of Delhi cabs have these kits. One of my relative had a Maruti fitted with Gas kit and he used it for 3 years safely. Ofcourse I did not like the rattling noise and his frequent ignition problems. Is this more to buy and get a certified clean kit or is it a matter of luck you escape the hazards? Any clarity will be helpful.
Between I have a Safari 2004 petrol version which has been the pointer of this discussions. Any Safari owners experience is greatly apreciated - though I don't want my guzzler to be noisy. Thanks in advance.
Rgds
Gopi

it's mid 90's ford taurus, and the owner said the car is "smoking" ( I presume it to be steam) and when I opened the overflow tank it was filled with a creamy, orangish/rusty looking foam. The tank did not have any actual liquid in it. I filled it with antifreeze and the problem still occured when it was driven again the next day. what would cause this? Could it be a leak in the cooling system or perhaps a faulty radiator cap?

Why when I fill up it goes beyond the full mark.
Then when it is at the halfway mark it usually reads 200 miles ( I always reset the trip meter with each fill)
then when I get gasoline next usually at 1/4 tank it isn't anywhere near a reading of 300.
