Does anyone know a mechanic in Atlanta that works on VW Jetta's? I would like to find someone with their own business who might not charge as much as the VW dealership. It's a '96, standard transmission and all the coolant just ran out onto the ground. Thanks.

it sounds like one of your radiator hose broke and dumped the whole thing out on ground but as for mechanic it really depends on which part of atlanta you live in I know of 5 good mechanics in Athens area but they charge rates a bit high (close to dealer's rate) if you want a cheap one that is hard to find and still very good at what he does tend to very popular and will have a long waiting list for the car's turn to be fixed or I can do basic maintenance and repair work for a fair rate but will not do extensive work(overhaul or rebuild) or the best suggestion is get an phone book and look up foriegn car specialist and find one that specializes in VW's
