I have an 81 yamaha xs 850. I just changed the clutch cable because it was too hard to pull the clutch. It improved a little but compared to my friends' bikes it's still too hard. Do you know if I can use any kind of lubricant on/in any part of the bike?

What I am trying to figure out is the firing order on the coil itself. I am facing the vehicle looking at the coil pack. I know ford's cylinder order is 123 456, but what side does the 123 start on? Driver side or passenger side?

We are car shopping, and we wondered about a minivan, but they all are kinda bad on gas. Does anyone have any personal recomendations,or opinions for best mpg on a mini van? We probably won't get a new one,so before '07 or '06 would be good. Any help would be fantastic! Thanks!

Besides the necessary stuff like an oil change what else needs to be done to maintain my car? And, how often should I do these things?

I bought a 1985 Nissan Maxima GL Wagon.
It hasn't been used for 7 years.
I replaced the battery, but after that I can't decide what to overhaul first.
The alternator/charge light won't come on when the key is in "On" position,
and the car won't attempt to start.
Is it possible that some starter components have seized after not being used for 7 years, and is it possible to fix it myself

I am in the process of helping my mother purchase a new vehicle.. Opinions aside about purchasing new, I need help calculating the monthly payments.

We have the price negotiate to where we want it but right now we're playing the numbers game with the interest rate. I have taken their quoted monthly payment and plugged in all the info to various "Auto Loan Calculators" on the net and all of them say different things.. What I'd like to do is, while at the dealer prior to signing, is to sit down and calculate what her payments SHOULD be vs. what they say it will be. Unfortunately I will be without the aide of a computer, only a calculator. I just want to verify that their not padding the monthly payments.

Thanks!

I have an 03 Dodge Dakota... I haven't had the oil changed in a while... a few days ago the "Check gauges" light kept coming on and a "clicking" sound when I was in park mode. Well last night I pull into my driveway and the entire truck shuts off.

It takes several turns to start it back up.. and when it does, the entire engine and truck starts to shake, giving off a loud noise like something is loose. I checked the oil and it almost had no oil, and no water in the radiator.

I put oil and water in and the "check gauges" light went off but the "check engine" light came on and when I started the truck, it began to jerk real hard, still making a loud noise.

Anyone know what this means?

On NewReg.co.uk, there used to be a search engine where you could enter in your number plate and it told you where the car was first registered.

Do you know where i could find the details of... MYM 157X?

It is a Golf Cabro.

The car I want to purchase was a recovered stolen vehicle with a PRIOR salvaged title which means:

An insurance company pays a claim for a vehicle that has been stolen, the owner assigns the title to the insurance company. The insurance company becomes the owner of the vehicle. If the vehicle is recovered, the insurance company must apply for a salvage title.

I can not find any one who will give me a loan to purchase this vehicle... does anyone know of anyone who will finance me?

granted: somebody is gonna call me a squid just for asking this but after you call me one, could you explain to me what it is? also realize that calling me a squid is the most generic and thoughtless comment you could make relative to my question. like "duh, somebody was garenteed to say it and think it's just the funniest thing in the world HAHAHAHA your so funny, you kill me, get it? i ask what a squid is and you answer me by saying i am a squid....HAHAHA your hilarious, that's so funny, you should stop riding motorcycles and be a comedian. "
i just wanna know what yall are saying when you call each other squid. got it? thanks

It doesn't make any noise when I brake, and I have recently change the belts hoping this would fix the issue. The squeaking comes and goes, but only happens when the car is in motion.

I've asked before and got a lot of help, but I would definitely appreciate any advice.

I've seen different ideas about boycotting gas. One of them was boycotting one company at a time. Some people say start with shell some say start with citgo and otheres say exxon mobil... How can this work if some are boycotting shell and pumping gas at exxon while others are boycotting exxon and buying gas at shell? What do you think of these boycott ideas and are you participating? Why or why not?

I would like to get whatever I can for it, and it doesn't seem like it'd be worth it to donate it, something about a minimum donation to get a writeoff. The engine is relatively new, and should be salvageable, and it still runs fairly well, but needs about 800 of work to pass inspection. It's a '91 Accord. Does anyone know where I can sell it to a salvage yard in the Houston Area?

I have a 1995 maxima that's making a knocking noise. The noise is more audible at low rpms, when in high rpms you can not really hear it. The car hasnt lost any power. The car hasnt become jerky at all. some people say it could be the pistons or valves that are messed up or one of the lifters is sticking. Could it be the nock sensor that is cousing this knocking noise. I dont know. please advise what is the best step to take and fix this problem.
