I have an 03 Dodge Dakota... I haven't had the oil changed in a while... a few days ago the "Check gauges" light kept coming on and a "clicking" sound when I was in park mode. Well last night I pull into my driveway and the entire truck shuts off.

It takes several turns to start it back up.. and when it does, the entire engine and truck starts to shake, giving off a loud noise like something is loose. I checked the oil and it almost had no oil, and no water in the radiator.

I put oil and water in and the "check gauges" light went off but the "check engine" light came on and when I started the truck, it began to jerk real hard, still making a loud noise.

Anyone know what this means?

Um, you might've screwed yourself over for not changing the oil. You might have a sludge build-up. Thats a lot of stress on the engine.

It sounds like you did some major damage to your engine. Running it without oil AND water is not so good. When the check engine gauge light comes on in some cars, it could mean a whole bunch of things. You have to check things right away.

Sounds like the engine bearings have siezed from lack of lubrication with no oil in it. Time for a new engine, should have changed the oil more often, every 3000 is a cheap fee($15) compared to the new engine.
good luck.......

Sounds like it overheated and some internal parts came loose or broke, definitely need that engine torn down and checked out..
