What I am trying to figure out is the firing order on the coil itself. I am facing the vehicle looking at the coil pack. I know ford's cylinder order is 123 456, but what side does the 123 start on? Driver side or passenger side?

#1 is on the passegnger side.

looking down at the engine with the front of the vehicle pointing up:
cylinders are numbered like this:
4 1
5 2
6 3

coil terminals are:
5 1
6 4
2 3
