Does anyone else think that their cars have gotten way better in quality and apperance? I have had no problems with my last one (Accent) and the new one (Elantra) is awesome. Are they improving or did i just get lucky not having break downs?

I have ran out of gas before in the same vehicle and i have never had any problem just adding gas and it would start.
This time, it just doesnt seem to be getting any gas and wont kick over. I refuse to believe you have to buy a new fuel pump every time you run out of gas. Back in the day, you could just unscrew the big round thing in the middle of the engine and pour some gas in it to prime it up. (ok yes, I'm female and redneck:) lol I realize there seems to be a pattern here about running out of gas I promise to work on. in the meantime, can anyone tell me EXACTLY other options to try before having to call the dealership to be ripped off Again!! Please, also , blonde. really in trouble. haha

-Hes asking 17900 but the kelley bluebook value of a private seller is 15800 in excellent condition. I showed him the page of the bluebook value and he responded by..."there are no other sellers offering a car like this at a lower price." I really like the car but dont want to spend that much. Any Suggestions?

I have a 2003 Ebbtide Campoine 18.5' Mercruiser 4.3 V6 Alpha one. I just pulled it out of storage started doing the normal routine of cleaning and mechanical upkeep. Gear lube and Oil has been changed before storage (everything up to par) my question is regarding the spark plugs...

When should you change them? Is 3 years too soon? (I'll pull one out tonight and look for corrosion, etc).

Also any other spring time engine recommendations for a 4 year old boat?

I read an article in a local paper about an inventor in Wi that is working on an electric vehicle powered by bumps in the road or suspension travel---I imagine it's a system that uses the up and down motion of the shocks to energize a magnetic field and generate electricty to charge the batteries. Sounds simple and is simliar to regenerative braking in that the energy used to stop a car is put back in to moving the car. Article is here:

Since America is the land of inventors, I was wondering if there's anyone else looking into available ways to power a car other than hybrid, diesel, hydrogen, photovoltaic, etc...how creative are people getting with the price of gas now.

Ok, It began with what I thought was a bad starter. I took it off, took it to AutoZone and they tested it, and it failed on all tests. I got a new one, put it on, hooked it up, and nothing happens. It acts as if the battery is dead. I thought that I might have hooked it up wrong, so I switched the wires, and when I tried to put the battery terminal back on, the car tries to start itself.. A mechanic that I know said that it is a safety mechanism that allows the car to not start in gear, and to just move the steering wheel. I tried this and still nothing. Any ideas would be great appricaited.
Thanks,
Matt

I work at Orlando Intl Airport. But I used to live in New Haven, CT right next to Tweed (HVN). They have been talking expansion for years and I think it's finally coming to pass.
They are going to expand the main runway from 5600' to 7200' to allow for bigger aircraft.....right now they are classified as a constrained airport.
My question is this:
Since the runway will be longer and the threshold will be moved on either end, does this mean that the navigation approach coordinates will also change for ILS landing?

This new length will change the glide slope on approach so I was just curious.

Thank you

my windshield wipers stopped working. but i was hearing a "click, click, click .." noise when i turned them on, the speed of the clicking varying with the wiper speed. this made me think it was the windshield wiper motor that was bad. i just tried replacing it and it didnt work. I'm almost certain i didnt wire anything wrong or anything. but i also dont hear the clicking now with the new (used) motor. So now im puzzled as to what the problem is. any ideas?

I am looking for the most efficient and ergonomic method for removing valve seats. Lots of them. This is for a mass production environment. I have an "apparatus" that is currently being used, but I think it was originally a medeival torture device. Yes, it's that bad. If anybody can help me out or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated!!!
