Make like Luke and Bo Duke, weld both doors shut, have the windows removed then look super cool by jumping in through the window and wheelspinning away. However if you don't live in Hazzard County or drive an orange Dodge Charger you could take the interior doorskin off, will need a trim tool and philips screw-driver. Find the interior side of the door-handle mechanism, check for any loose or broken part, This part may be repairable or may need to be replaced as a whole. Depending on your skill level either attempt the job yourself or take it to a body-shop.

Always open it from the inside. Use the other door. Be glad you got a reach-around.

you need to pull the door panel off of it,and on the inside of the outside handle there is a rod that goes to the latch assembly,it has probably came off of it,if you need to you can pull the passenger side off to see where the rod goes too,but that's probably whats causing this to happen, and you may also find the handle to be broken also, i have had to do them that way sometimes especially if you cant find where it hooks back on to,good luck with it,hope this helps.

you need to take the door panel off and see if the rod came off the door handle or if the handle broke on the inside

once you have the door open, remove the inside door panel & see if the handle linkage is hooked up. the nylon clip may have slid off or just broke.

The linkage rod is disconnected. There is a little clip that holds the rod to the handle and it's probaly broken, it happens all the time.

the lock is probably jammed/broken on the actual inside of the door.....take it to a shop and have them take care of it for you.....it shouldnt cost that much even if the lock has to be replaced.
