My battery light keeps coming on in my '92 Ford Taurus. The mechanic disconnected the battery cable to see if the alternator would quit and it didn't. What may be causing the battery light to come on and off?

my car had the check engine light on so i checked it out and it gave me the code " po 303" which it tells me the 3th cylinder is mis fireing ignition. I called the jaguar auto shop and they are telling me its "probably" the ignition coil. from experience if it is the 3rd cylinder ignition coil how much should i pay to get it fix whats a ball park figure?? or any advice can help. thanks in advance.

I know during off-peak hours, it's less then 30 min, but never tried it during morning traffic. I want to get to the airport no later then 7:30am. For those who have driven there, I greatly appreciate your input on how much time to allocate in getting there. Thanks.

The center high mount brake light works but the outer two do not. The bulbs are good because the signal lights work and I know the signal and brake lights are on the same wire at the socket. I checked the brake light switch and it seems to be working properly. Is there a relay or some type module/brain box that lets the brake lights work even when the signal light is on because they light up through the same wire at the tail light itself?
