Im looking for some new subs that im going to be placing in a custom plexiglass box. i can do all the fabrication a build custom cars but was looking for some opinions of what type of subs and what amp i should get. the truck is going to be in shows and the system is only an accent piece sound quality isnt huge but needs to be ok for when i get rid of the truck. But any ideas of subwoofer and amp combos let me know. i was told by a buddy to look at Audiobah but let me know what you think!

My car is sputtering and missing. The spark plugs are new and the plug wires are semi new. It only sputters and misses when the car is stopped and in gear. If it is in park it doesn't do it. It doesn't affect the driving unless going up steep hills. I was thinking maybe it has something to do with the fuel injector on the #4 cylinder, but I don't really know. I took it to get a diagnostics test and it wouldn't read. This is the only car I have, and it's going to be a do-it yourself type of thing, so any help would be greatly appreciated. It is going to be awhile before I can afford a new car....

I want to sell my car in the next couple of months. But I'm a little confused as to how I'm to go about doing that.

The plan was to sell my car and use the money from that to put down a big down payment on a new car. So I decided to shop around first and see if anyone would finance me.

Well, I should have figured no one would. I'm 21, living in an apartment, little credit, (even though the little is very good!), I JUST moved to a new state just 2 weeks ago, and I don't have a cosigner.

So, a dealer told me to wait a few months (5) and then to come back once I have some stability to prove. Fair enough, at least he was being honest with me unlike the others.

Question is, do I sell my car first and take a chance on not getting a car right away? Or try and get a car with a smaller down payment and then selling my car?

Most suggestions by circuit city/ best buy, etc. are component set-ups or stand-alone tweeters, but I am sure the OEM speakers are at least coaxials - also I have already replaced door speakers and rear speakers, so the component set-up is half-wasted, IMHO...

I have a 2006 Mazda6 and want to sell it and possibly trade it in for a cheaper car at a different dealership. Do dealerhips buy new cars (I know they can pay the trade-in value for what it's worth) not even for a trade? Or could I purchase a cheaper car and they pay the difference?

I own a 2001 Oldsmobile Siloutte, we just had the lifters repaired, and now the transmission whines.. it changes out rough, and slips. When it whines, if I park for a few minutes then restart the engine it quits for awhile.The mechanic broke my cruise control when he worked on my van, but insists it has no bearing on the new problem. All the filters and fluid are clean.... any idea what may be going on?

I just bought a 1997 pontiac grand prix se 2 days ago and everything was ok with it. the guy who sold it to me said that you have to disconnect the battery because the cd player drains it. he just put a new battery in it 2 days before i bought it and showed me the reciept for it. well today i drove it for the first time, got plates insurance, everything done on it, spent every dollar i had , and i also had to move out of my house today, so while i was moving the car just stopped, lights were on, radio worked, everything but it wouldnt even turn over. so i got a jump it started right up ran for about 5 min then died, did this about 5 more times did the same thing over and over. so finally we left the cables from my car to the other for about 20 min and just let it charge and then it stayed started but the lights would dim and stuff but i got it home. my friend thinks its the altinater, does this sound right? i will have to pawn stuff for the $$ for the part so i want to be sure.....:(

aftermarket type? It may take several stops to warm up the brake pads enough to stop the squeeling. And this is in Southern Calif. which is a very temporate climate. I estimate that I have at least another 35,000 miles of braking before these pads will be worn out and need changing.

I was jumping over a very small hill when the atv completly stop. it seems to be stuck in gear, this model will not start if it not in nuteral. so took side cover off and used apower drill to turn crank shaft to start , which have done before, but would not turn over. Just had but new oil and changed spark plug in. I can get to move alittle, i mean a few inches, but mainly it locked up. and idea about how to go about fix this problem with out pay someone to fix it, i'm fair at fix most problems.

Just wondering, if length defines the speed, couldn't I just try to build one really long boat and get it up to 20 knots without needing much more horsepower? Or does that linearity end somewhere?
