My friend has a Ford Fiesta with alloy wheels and has lost the locking wheel nut. The garage says they will have to smash the wheels off and replace them (expensive!). Is there another way?

There are so many different companies out there. What's your auto insurance plan? I've been using Farmers. $700/six months. And now thinking about swtich to others.

just wondering if anyone has had problems with the elctric windows and sunroof etc, in that the buttons sometimes work and sometimes fail...is it just the contacts or do the buttons wear out after 20 years? any link to new elctrics woul be great

My horn won't honk. My security system light on the dash doesn't flash anymore.

Any suggestions? I don't even know where the horn fuse is on my car. And I don't know why my security system light quit flashing.

My AC is out. I know compressors have a circuit to prevent clutch engagement when refrigerant is too low. Also, when I try to add refrigerant, the system will not accept it. Could someone tell me what this indicates? Does this indicate there is a major break somewhere? However, if this were the case, I would expect the refrigerant to be accepted into the system, albeit it would then be wasted. Can anyone help me diagnose the problem?

I'm about to buy my first car. I've had cars before but I've never had one that I've had to make payments on until now. I've been researching rates and so far all the quotes I'm getting are for about $1400 for 6 months, which I feel is a little steep. I was wondering if I could get on my fathers car insurance and just pay that cheaper rate but when I brought this up to him, he said that would only work if he was a co-signer with me. I wanted to know if that was true and also what are some tips for getting the lowest rate on full coverage that I can.

I have a 350 in my truck and it is set up really good. After-market timming, cam, crank, heads.... The whole nine. The guy I bought it from bored it +60, which is as far as you can go on a SBC. It droped a piston ring and scratched the cylinder. I don't really want to try and strip the entire motor and start from a fresh block. The motor was just assembled last year and all the parts are like new. I bought it as-is so he can't do anything. I would really just like to get this motor going till I save the money to build up another one. I have looked everywere and can't find sleeves. Help!!!!

This factory receiver is 160watts and has four 6.5 speakers & 2 tweeters. I do not like the sound. I want to keep the factory head/receiver. I was considering replacing the 4 factory speakers (not-the tweeters). Adding an amplifier is also an option, but i don't really want to deal with the hassel of that. What should I do to make it sound decent?
