There is arrogance on both sides. Lots of car drivers don't realise how hard it is to stop a 44 ton lorry. Just as lots of lorry drivers don't realise how frustrating it is to wait behind an over taking lorry that clearly can't do more than 1/2 a mile an hour faster than the lorry that he is overtaking. A little more respect from each other would make life on the road a lot more easy.
Car drivers tend to feel invulnerable in their cars but if you ever saw the carnage when a lorry runs over a car,the car drivers would probably not pull in front of the lorry to get off at a junction.

Judging by what I saw on the M6 today, the lorry drivers have a long way to go to catch up to the car drivers in general.
What was really funny was the pratt who'd managed to veer his ostentatious jag off the carriageway and halfway down a grass verge. I felt so sorry for him...Not.
I wonder if he's the one bleating about the lorry drivers? I've avoiding answering any of the questions in his outburst because I just know I'll want to smack him...

I agree. Lorry/truck drivers are professionals, and they:
1. Know how to drive safely much better than those who post rants about them;
2. Have much harder task at hand that those who never drove a lorry can't appreciate.

Both sides of the pond, mate. Over here, they even have the gall to be reviewing the hard copy of a contract while updating the computer file and talking on the mobile with the customer. At least the ding-a-ling wasn't also drinking a Starbucks

this will include the vast majority of 'suits' that HAVE to be in front of everyone, usually by driving way too fast.
one day they will learn,,, you cannot be in front of EVERY other driver.
once saw a guy, respectable looking, suit, tie, neatly trimmed grey hair and 'goaty', nice new (company) motor.
driving down the outside lane of the A1 in rush hour............with his laptop on his knee and actually looking down to type stuff..
