why in the heck do i have such bad luck with accell distributors for my small block chevy. i keep burnin out modules mostly. should i go mallory? if i have to keep droppin in my old gm hei distributor just to get home i think im gonna go points. but will i get the same extreme advance in timing with just a regular distributor and seperate coil? i love the fact on hei i can change the syntripical force springs out under the rotor to lighter springs for more advance. does the old system of a seperate coil and points offer this feature?

hi i've posted a question on this just earlier today, but i dont think the answeres i recieved were right. i have a 1999 DODGE DAKOTA 3.9L V6 AUTOMATIC TRANNY wih 90k.
there are absolutly no problems while the truck is ideling in park or neutral, but when i engauge it in reverse, drive, 2nd or 1st gear, a very annoying tingy ratteling sound comes from under the hood. it almost sounds as if something were loose and tinging around somehwere down there.
people are telling me its the heat shield, but arnt those the things that cover the headers? and wouldnt they rattle no matter what gear the tranny is in (if they were loose?)
i'm thinking its the timing chain & sprockets. is that a possibility? i've heard they go bad after about 50k on a lot of 3.9 dakotas.
PLEASE HELP!!! I'VE JUST RECENTLY UPGRADED ALMOST EVERYTHING IN THE TRUCK TO MAKE IT "SHOWY" I'M ONLY 17 BUT I KNOW A HELL OF A LOT ABOUT CARS BUT THIS ONE'S STUMPED ME! THE SOONER THE RESPONSE THE BETTER! THANKS GUYS!

I put the Jensen VM9511TS car radio in my truck and everything is working correctly. The only problem is there is no picture when I try to watch tv on it, but I can hear it fine. I found a code to play a dvd without the parking break wire and its working fine (picture and sound), but not while its on tv, just sound. Is there another code for that or is there something not working right with the radio. How can I fix this, or can I fix it?

I was in a car accident, and i rear ended someone and totaled my car. I wasn't given a ticket at the scene of the accident, and on the police report it says "no ticket has been given at this time." and the case is closed. no one was hurt.

does this mean I can still get a ticket

My dog has chewed right through my drivers belt and damaged the passenger belt. The law have handed me a 14 day rectification notice to which i say thank you Northumbria Police for not doing me.
I cant for the life of me find reasonably priced replacement belts except from a scrap guy who's asking £155 for the pair. I've seen racing harness' for a third of that price but i need to know if they're legal? Any advice appreciated.

I hate the safety lessons before takeoff. Why do they spend time teaching you this when they have never tested planes to land on water in the first place. What a waste of money for life vest. Any opinions?

I have a 1995 Forst Escort. I recently was driving and it just stopped pulling. It would crank but not move. I had it towed home and when I cranked it, it would move but made a loud sound. I let it sit for a week and cranked it again and it won't move now. When you give it gas in park it makes a rattling or knocking sound at the transmission. ICould it be anything other than the transmission?

I have a 1990 2.3 liter Ford Ranger and I was thinking about putting 8.5mm wires and a new set of plugs in. What I'm thinking is that it will improve my combustion where it don't work as hard to send the piston down. Tell me what you think?

It's only the driver's side and it's crackly! It makes all my music sound horrible. What causes it? Where can I go to get it fixed? And how much does it cost?
Thanks in advance.
