I hate when people use OLD sayings like: Fords are crap. (that is so 90's) Although the company is in financial trouble right now, they make pretty decent vehicles now a days. BUT ANYWAYS!!! As far as warranties go, the Eclipse. As far as performance goes the Charger or the Mustang because they are Rear wheel drive and the Eclipse is Front wheel drive. As far as the most practical, the Charger wins because its a four door and it can seat five comfortably. The Mustang and Eclipse are two door and seat four. The Mustangs back seat is useless except for short people, kids, or your pesonal belongings (this is because a friend of mine owns one). The Charger is roomy and the ride is EXCELLENT (i own a 300C and they are basically the same car). The Mustang and Charger come with standard V6's and offer V8's and the Eclipse standard engine is a four cylinder with a V6 optional. The Charger is the only one with a standard automatic transmission, Eclipse and Mustang are a stick with the automatic as a option. Base prices are: $19,000 for the Eclipse, $20,000 for the Mustang, and $23,000 for the Charger (with what you get in the Charger, I think the price is a steal). I dont know, I could go on forever. The dodge has the HP and the eclipse has the looks. It depends what you want to spend and repairs later. I personally would go with the eclipse.

It is all a matter of opinion and personal preference. I personally like the Eclipse, and so it be known, they are built in the USA and have been since 1989.
