It's only the driver's side and it's crackly! It makes all my music sound horrible. What causes it? Where can I go to get it fixed? And how much does it cost?
Thanks in advance.

you may have played the music too loud, and blown out the speaker.
You can replace the tweeter, just go to a car audio store.

ryebread outstanding has a good element its obtainable you blew the speaker. It you play it low and it would not make the noise yet gets worse as you turn it up its a good possiblity the speaker cone has ripped. Failing which you would be getting comments noise from the alternator. this could be a discomfort interior the **** yet can some circumstances be fixed yet utilising an ISO floor loop between the RCA or setting up a noise surpressor from the alt to the vehicle physique. i might verify the speaker cone first it in basic terms desires a small rip to sound undesirable.

You may have blown the speaker cone by playing the music too loud and ripping the cone. Also UV rays will dry out the material in the speaker and will make them less flexible and more prone to crack. Then you get distortation.

you can fix it, but it will still be a bit scratchy. Open up the speaker, and you should see like copper wiring. a bunch of little copper wires, twisted. i suggest twisting it a bit more, so all the copper wires will touch, because the reason why your music might be scratchy is that the wiring is to far apart, try that and see if it works. besides what you got to lose, if that doesnt work, try what every one else said, get a new one

It sounds like you have a blown speaker. You can get speakers fairly reasonable at Walmart and your local car audio company should install it for around $25.00

A blown speaker, (cracked cone) would need to be replaced, or it could simply be a loose wire connection. Either way you would have to remove the door panel and ckeck it out. Not very difficult to do.

If the cone is cracked you will have to go to the internet and try to find an identical one. If you get one good speaker then your audio will be lopsided.

Sand or a blown speaker.
Fairly cheap to fix. Maybe $100 or so.
Best is to find a place that does free install.
