I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 4.6 V8. I already have a Helix throttle body spacer and a Cat BAck dual exhaust. I would like more torque and a little more horsepower. Without damaging my motor, what can I do?

2000 Ford Mustang, 3.0L V6 engine - I am having a "valve job" done, due to a large oil leak through one of the valve guides. The mechanic who took the heads off (to send them to a machine shop for the actual work) says the Piston to Cylinder clearance is too big, and I should replace the engine - though prior to removing the heads all six cylinders compression tested at 175PSI. He has not yet gotten in there with a feeler gauge and actually measured the gap, but I have told him I'm not buying an engine until he does.

I own a 1993 Nissan Altima and I've just noticed that my car rattles when accelerating, but stops when I reach around 25mph. What could this be and what would the estimate be on how much it would it cost to fix?

We pay a great deal in taxes for the "pleasure" of running motor vehicles. It appears that very little of this money is ploughed back into building and maintaining our roads.

Do other countries spend as little as our government on our roads.Or am I just imagining that our roads are bad ?
