I just got my new Chase credit card but I did not see any information about the balance transfer that I requested. When I opened online I set an amount for the balance transfer to my old Citi credit card. My question is do they send the amount automatically to the card? Or will they send me a check?
thanks

On my credit report it shows that we have never made a late payment, however, there have been several times when we have paid about a week later than the 2 week grace period they give us. Since this is still less than 30 days late, it never goes on the report. So if we go to another bank to refinance, they won't see any late payments but are there other ways that they can find out that we haven't always paid on time?

I have 1 30 day late on my credit report for my mortgage. I paid on the 31st day because I thought that because it was within the month due, that it was still on time. I have never been late on my mortgage otherwise. Can this be disputed?

I was recently sent a collection notice for not paying for a class that I never even signed up for. Is there anything that I can do to fight collections on this? Do I need to contact the company that filed with collections for not receiving payment from me?

I have a debt that had a last payment on Dec '00. It is now almost 7 years since this time and debt collector called & argued several points. I understand the morality of paying the debt, but the SoL keeps them off my back after 7.5 years, correct?
I mentioned to him that I am can't pay on the account now, but if certain things fell into place soon I might be able to work something out. I understand the time frame resets once a payment has been made, so I have not done that, though they were desperate to get a $50 good-faith payment. Having stated this possible intent to pay, will they be able to use this recording to weigh against the SoL argument?

I'm not sure if the conversation I had has forced me into paying this debt, or if I should wait out the remainder of the SoL timeframe. Can anyone explain the impact on my credit score for waiting out the last months versus paying it off at 50% now?

Any input is greatly appreciated, thank you!

I have a 2004 Dodge stratus that I owe 13,500 on and its not worth 7000. My husband also has a dodge TRUCK thats not worth 16000 but owes 29000, we are SO negative its not even funny and we both want new cars but cant get one cause our payments would be outrageous cause were so negative. We want new cars and have considered letting ours go back and in the meantime get brand new ones that we can afford and get a new house (rent) in the meantime, something where we can see ourselves being there for a long time. Only thing is i worryabout my credit.... my car is in my name and my husbands grandpa is co signer, on my hubbys truck its in his grandpas name and I am the co signer... how will this hurt me on either way? we want OUT OUT OUT of these negative cars so bad.

about 4 months ago my FICO score dropped suddenly from 670 to 570. i think it had to do with my applying for a credit card (just $500 limit)..... even though i had paid off a credit card with $4000 balance. now 4 months later my FICO score went back up to 670 even though the $4000 balance is back and I even applied for another credit card.

so what gives?

Some lady just delivered a package to my house that says I'm being sued by a company called Arrow Financial Services, this was a credit card I obtained from Providian and what happened was that I went through a consumer credit counseling program a few years ago and they did not accept the reduced payments this credit counseling firm was sending them. I did not find out about this until 5-6 months later and more than $600 in extra fees added to the account, I tried to work out a settlement but Providian declined and I just blew them off, now I have this citation from a court dated July 07 and don't know what to do!!! Should I try to settle out of court with the lawyer? should I go to court? what's the best way to go about this? I'm in Texas so I don't know if they can garnish wages or what not......thanks for the help!!!!

Twice I used this particular retailer for larger household items because of their finance options. They are NOT a rent-to-own financier, and the finance contracts I had with them state that they do report good and bad to all three credit bureaus.

Once I was done paying for the first item I bought from them (a couch), I checked my credit to see if they posted anything positive and I saw that they didn't so I went to their store talked to one of the store manager who reassured me that they would take care of the problem. During the same visit, I purchased and financed another large item (washer and dryer set), and it is also paid off, and again, nothing reported on my credit for either item.

What legal actions can I take against this retailer? I'm largely in the market to improve my credit and that is a very big deciding factor when I make purchases, and this retailer has failed to deliver, even though it's in the contract.

I have a single outstanding debt on my credit report. It's for $984, from a towing company that towed an abandoned / broken down car of mine, years ago. They submitted it to a collection agency. I was unaware of the bill before it went to the collection agency, because I moved out of state, just before they marked the car "abandoned" in my old apartment complex parking lot, and then was towed.
I'm not even aware of the original amount before it got to the collection agency, however I'm sure it's legit because of the details they have about the car.
I'm interested in paying this bill off, however when I contacted the collection agency to try to negotiate a "deletion" with full payment, they wouldn't have anything to do with it.
It's been about five years now that it's been on my credit report.
What would make the most legal sense? To pay it off in full, don't pay anything unless they accept some sore of deletion agreement, or settle it for as little as possible even without deletion
