I co-signed on a student loan for my neice about two years ago. It is a private student loan. Well, to make a long story short.....I want to be taken off. She is hurting my credit because she hardly ever pays on time and I'm having some major regret. How can I go about this? I know its not as easy as just asking to be taken off, but does she need to find a new loan, or just a new co-signer or what?

Thank you!

My father is trying to get his credit straightened out, so yesterday I requested an annual free online copy of his credit report, which indicates that he has 3 delinquent accounts (turned over to a collection agency), even though the amounts were only $25, $50, and $25. He also has 2 companies to which he owes money, but even if he pays the money he owes to those companies the delinquent things will still be on his credit report, so even if he gets a job and tries to get a loan the loan companies will probably still see the delinquencies and use them against him. So what can he do to have the delinquencies removed from his credit report? There has to be something he can do to have them removed, because they are only $25, $50, and $25. It doesn't seem like that is such a big deal.

My credit card interest rate jumped beyond what auto loans finance at. IF the titles are with me can I take an auto loan on the cars and use that amount to pay off credit card debt that was incurred at a higher interest rate.

I want to know because after reading about all the debt that you/people are all in in this credit category I don't want the big dollor low intrest rate no fees credit card that are allowing people to spend like theres no tomorrow. Like no fees 9 % rates or lower, 10,000 and up credit rate . I will never spend more than $300 dollors on my credit card for something and will not use it again untill i pay off that in 3 months. Everything eles will be done with the debit card. I think some people are better off with the low credit rate credit cards with the 19 % plus rates to keep them under controll .

What are they buying to get in 10,000 to 26,000 dollors in credit card debt ending up fileing bankrupcy that they can't wait to get??

I had someone come to my house to give me a court order to appear regarding an unpaid account. I believe it was charged off. I think it is a collection agency or firm attempting to collect $1,700, most of it is interest charges. Should I go to court and ask for a lesser payback or deal with the company itself. I have 20 days to respond. I need a good advice.

I recently got a letter from the collection agency saying I owed my chool medical center $200 plus they accrued interest of $45. and the collection agancy also filed this collection to credit report which hurts my credits a lot.
Question:
1) can the collection angency charge me interest rate, I asked my school who did not accrue any interest, so basically the collection angency added the interest themselves.
2) Can they file to the credit bureau to have my credits affected to force me to take care of the debt.
3) My wife happened to give the collection angency my credit card number when they talked to her on the phone, can I have the bank to stop paying for collection angency unhil I get things straight out .

Capital one offered me a nice balance transfer rate of 1.99% for the life of the balance (2,000) does anyone know if I have to use the card for purchases in order to keep that rate? becuase otherwise its not worth it since payments go to lower interest rates before higher ones, I don't want a 500 dollar purchase balance to be at 14.9 sitting while I pay the 2,000 off. Ever done this before? I know discover has some stupid rule like that...just want to make sure I'm not screwing myself over becuase i'd rather have it at 1.99 then 18.24 with citi cards...help!! thanks!

I recently checked my credit and found a judgement against me and its wrong. I rented a house last year and moved on bad terms with the owner. The owner stated that I owed 4 grand. The judge dismissed it however now, I have a judgement against me on my credit report from the landlord stating that I owe him 2500.00. How can he do that ?

resigned from my old job, they owed me about 1k in commision, due to start my new job next week in london, just been paid and they have only paid half my basic, (fair enough i left after 10 days into the month by MUTUAL consent) but haven't paid me any commission they owed me. Before i left I checked the system and they were due to pay me. Other commisions (about another £400) would be held for 3 months in case any cancellations happen. Also they owe me holiday pay as well.
This has stuffed me up as i am due to start a job in london next week and now can't afford to pay my monthly outgoings, let alone find a couple of hundred quid to get to london and back each day for a month. Therefore i need to get some cash and quick. I haven't a good credit rating due to recklessness as a 18yr old so can't borrow the cash. Any ideas?

To make it worse, it was sent to collections and the collections agency said they would also file the claim, but they waited too long and it was denied. Then they dinged my credit because they never heard from me when they called my house and no one answered, and no voicemail to know you called. "It's elementary, my dear Watson "I was at work. They finally left a message two months later to call them regarding this. I was waiting to hear from them once the claim was filed. Do I have a case for dispute, or have I paid stupid tax for relying on the goofs to file the claim?

who isnt late at some point and time. Next year is my last year paying on my Car and for the 2nd time in 3 years I am late on my payment. the last time I was late was 2005 and it was 30 days and this time Im late under 30 days.. im telling the people I will pay them this friday and there telling me that is not good enough and to give them a post dated check. Im like hell no you can wait till this friday I have told them every day this week. So I finally hung up in there face and Im like What ever if they cant wait till Friday That doesnt make no sense to me. So can they repo my car if im not 30 days late? and is that normal to repo if your late less than 30 days? aside from that I feel like if they are going to do that why charge late fees.. what the heck!! Who knows the rutine on Car Loans that are 30 days or less late.. ?

Remember this is my 2nd time being late in 3 years

hello. I'm here for some advice. I'm stuck in a crappy situation. My debt is not a whole lot, but it's enough to drag me down, and put my credit at a nasty 500. And it's going to continue to go down if i can't get this paid off. I have called, and spoke to the places that i owe money to, but they are not willing to accept the amount of money i can afford to pay to them each month. I am currently 7 months pregnant with my second child, and trying to keep up with my 6 year old daughter, my current bills, and getting these people payed off i can't seem to get any where. I'm to the point where they will most likely start taking it out of my checks. I thought they had to accept what i could give to them. I don't know wher else to turn to. They are wanting the WHOLE payment now, or they said they will take it else where. I could really just use someones help, or someone to talk to. I have no family help, and my credits to bad to get a loan from the bank. Thanks in advance for your help
