tell him to put that in writing.

First of all quit talking to them. Get them to put everything in
writing and mail it to you.

don't be fooled by taken over, they either PURCHASED
the debt or ASSIGNED the debt, either way they have
to prove it too you. So read everything thoroughly on
the above website and do not answer your phone
until you read !!!!

The answer to your question is call first premier or send the payment to first premier direct! Collection agents are paid on a day to day or week bye week production basis.. This is how they are paid bouses! You do not have to give a debit card for any payment. also with a money order or check you need to make a copy of the check or money order before you send and after if you wrote a check. Keep a copy everytime you send anything out when it comes to a collection agency! Also you can get a discount on the total if you ask!

I would tell them that they need to mail you verification of the debt. They have to by law. Lets see if they include a return address.

I have never read anywhere that a collection agency has to use the mail. However, I would be very suspicious of any company that does not use it. I would bet that $8 is going into their pockets and they are just finding a way to fleece you a little more. However, their refusal to give out an address might be illegal because you are being prevented from sending them certified letters requesting them to not contact you or for other business purposes that they are required by law to provide. You might tell them that your lawyer is interested in their address so he can send them something. See what response you get. In fact, see if you can get a lawyer to look into this.

I just found this site and it has a lot of interesting reading.

Either a scam, or a general pain-in-the-*** collection agency. No, it's probably not illegal unless its a scam.

I would suggest sending the a validation of debt letter, basically they have to prove the debt or legally have to remove it and stop harrassing you. I would be happy to help, Carrie@hlclending.net
