Today, I got three different scores that stemmed from the same agency (Equifax). Now, I understand there are three different credit bureaus, however, all three scores I am referring to were from Equifax. Online, It was 698. I asked my bank about financing and the score was 654. I called the car dealership about financing and it was 673. Why so different?

The bank told me that they get a score based on a different formula than what was given to me online. So, if every place gets a score based on a different formula, what's the point?

I hate CREDIT!

i pulled it 2 months ago, so i know i can't get it again for free or can i??
there were a few things on there i was wanting to dispute, but i didn't have the time right then and as time went on, i kinda forgot until now that i am appling for a loan. however, i was denied about 4 weeks ago on one thing. i know when you are denied, you can request it for free. also, i have lost my confirmation number from the freeannualcreditreport website.

is there anyway that i can access it again w/o paying for it? and w/o the comfirmation number?

is there a way to request it online since there was a denial 4 weeks ago?

I'm 18 years old, just finished high school and frequently I find myself on the internet wanting to buy cheap things in the $20-50 range, and I was wondering how and if I can get a $500-$1000 visa. I would probably only touch $100 of it and then keep my card and not use it to obtain good credit.

How would I go about this? I know that you can apply online but I'm not sure how or where...

Also, how long does it usually take to get accepted and get your card.

i've spoke with the morgage company and credit has already been checked. the prob is medical bills on the report. i was told to fax w-2 form, check stub and a letter of explaination about the medical bills and to make the letter sound good. my concern is i am not good with making letters sound good!! there is one bill for over 5000.00 and 2/3 for around 200-300.00. my income is around 3,700.00 a month, credit score is about 640, no other current house pymt. we're appling for 60,000.00, do you think we have a chance??
can you tell me how to write this letter? what to write? i have no idea where to begin!!
if you would write a letter as if it were one for yourself, making it sound good, that would be great!!

How can a credit card company charge you a late fee if your payment is received only one or two days after the due date? Didn't they used to have a "grace period"?

Advice please!!! I lived with these two girls, and my credit card got up to 10k. They were shady and ran it up. I am stuck with the credit now. I really don’t need credit I have a house that is paid for, and I have my car. I am going to trade it in, my grandpa is helping me put it under his name. But now the credit card is up to 14k because of fee’s too. I have not made a payment in about 6 months. The credit card has been sent for collections with another agency. They have my old number at my dads house, so they keep calling my dad, and he is emailing me that they are calling and he is not sure why, they are just bothering him. What do I do??? I don’t want to pay it off because it will be 270mo. For 5 years??? And I already have bad credit because of it, I guess lesson learned. Can they do anything besides keep calling, and how long do they call for? I guess awhile, it is 14k.

We are trying to refinance our home to consolidate and we have a high debt to income ratio. We can't find a bank willing to lend to get some relief from our outrageous mortgage payments. We've tried 3 different brokers and have come up with nothing. Our new broker is only "stating" income and needs the bank to call someone within my husbands company and give information that he is making more than we state and has a better job title. Most banks won't call a cell phone to verify, so I'm told, but the phones are in the company name and not any one person. The bank wouldn't know who they were speaking with, right? This sounds terrible but we are at a loss for what else to do.

I mean, c'mon - how can your company combine and reduce my debt by over half, without filing bankrupt? Whats the deal? And you say my credit rating will not be hurt? What about all the debt I have from buying that ocean front property in Colorado?

I live in Ohio and my bank is "First" and I was wondering if I took all of my money out today, would I owe them any money? They told me to let at least 100$ in there unless I would be charged a certain amount of money..but I forget how much the charge was. I really need my money out though, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I am looking for a free credit report online. Every site that I have been on cost money. Are there any free sites for credit reports that I can get on where if it says free it will not cost me? Where would a person go to get a copy of their credit report if they do not have a computer?

Isn't this double dipping? The bank doing the hold gets interest on deposited funds. They collect interest on my funds while I cannot use my funds because of their continuing hold of 5 business days. Report them to the Federal Reserve Bank and let's stop them.

I filed for bankruptcy, but then my finances improved and I was able to pay my bills, so the bankruptcy matter was dropped and I was never declared "bankrupt" by the court and got no relief. Will this show up on my credit at some future date?

I've greatly improved my credit after a bankrupcy four years ago. I really don't have any huge expenses and a need for credit cards, but I've used credit cards and a small car loan to build back my worthiness. (You see, I may want to buy a home in a few years)

My question:

The very first card I got post-bankrupcy was an ORCHARD BANK mastercard which is known as a credit repair type card. So............... now that I have the other better cards with bigger limits ($6000+) does it look worse for my credit profile to close the ORCHARD account that I have the longest history with (or) does it look worse having a credit repair type card open??????????

I called the 1800 number on the back of the card last nite to find out what my balance was on the card and the recording said my payment was due on 9/19. I missed it because I work quite a bit and dont think I ever got a bill. Will this adversely affect my credit? I paid them a payment right away over the phone and she told me she would take the fee off my credit card bill. What does that mean?
