I am looking for a free credit report online. Every site that I have been on cost money. Are there any free sites for credit reports that I can get on where if it says free it will not cost me? Where would a person go to get a copy of their credit report if they do not have a computer?

The best way to get your free annual credit report is to go through the site sponsored by the government (http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/freereports.shtm) There are a lot of impostor sites out there, so it is best to go through the links on the government's website to make sure you aren't fooled. You are allowed to check it once a year. I personally check mine every year at Thanksgiving.

If you don't have a computer at home, use a computer at your local public library. It is free with a library card!

AnnualCreditReport.com is the only government approved site to receive your free credit reports. It's 100% free and no credit card required.
If you don't have a computer you can call 1-877-322-8228
or you can print off and mail this form:https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/requestformfinal.pdf
If you request your free reports by mail, it will take about 15 days after they've received your request.

annualcreditreport.com will allow you to get a free credit report once a year from each of the free credit reporting agencies. You can print it when you access it. If you want your credit SCORE though, you'll have to pay for it.

Most public libraries have computers available for Internet access, and usually don't charge for their use. If you want to print something, there might be a small charge.

Go to annualcreditreport.com or call Call 1-877-322-8228. You are allowed a free one, once per year per credit agency. There are three credit agencies, so you can spread the reporting througout the year, or get all three at once. I have not found anywhere that provides free FICO scores however.
