Hi,

My credit score is 550 and I have total 1100$ of credit line with 2 cards (800 + 300).In last year i was in debt of 800$ and it took me 7 months to paid off.now I dont have any debt.I have started creating my credit hostory since 2 years and during that I have been denied for 3 times for new card application and denied 1 time for Credit line increase. Now I have more than enough money to spend.I want to create good credit history now.what should I do?Should I do my expenses from Credit card and pay off totally at the end of month ,or should I pay 50% or just minimum payment ? or I should not use credit card and should use debit card ? please give me advice .

This is the third attempt to cancellation my subscription. My credit card bill was received today and as I feared my renewal was charged to my credit card. What do I have to do to receive credit for this error on the part of YaHoo?

Requests to be contacted have gone unanswered.

I've heard that In charge solutions is a good company. I've heard that they are a non-profit organization.

We have a little over five thousand dollars in credit card debt and other misc. things.

We are only making two thousand dollars a month.

Any answers will be much appreciated!

Is it possible to make payments through a company for a vacation? Ex., Put down $200-$500 and pay monthly before my scheduled trip? I don't use credit cards, nor do I have one. Is there a trusted company/website that will allow me to do that?

I am a co-signer on a loan with my brother. He is the one that got the loan, he is paying it. All the payments are current and on time. I am filing bankruptcy now. If he continues to pay all payments, will my bankruptcy affect him. I don't want to reaffirm.

I went through a divorce a few years ago so ended up with pretty bad credit. I have made arrangements with some of the accounts and have been paying them, and I do have some current stuff (student loans, car loan with co-signer, and two credit cards) these are all paid on time. I am not able to pay off all the old stuff, so is it true that after 7yrs from last payment or contact that it's supposed to drop off? If so and it's still not taken off what are the steps to take? I have been trying to get my credit score back up but it just seems like even with all the good stuff it's not coming up.

I have a debt that went delinquent in 11/98. Unknowingly, I made a payment on the account in 4/04. I now know that I have "restarted" the SOL (which is 6 years) Since the debt was from 1998, it HAS been removed from my credit report (as of 2005) My question is: Since I am responsible for this debt until 4/10, if the company decides to sue me, and therefore put out a "judgement", can they turn around and report the "judgement" to the credit bureaus? (I am halfway through w/SOL. Should I take the chance on the next 3 years?) And to all you that say I should pay because it is the "moral" thing to do- I have PAID, I paid 7 years that I could not get auto loan, even a STUDENT Loan..

I've heard that mortgage companies may lower the credit score requirement sometime next week. Is this true? As an example: They have a requirement now for your score to be 700 with 5% down in order to qualify, or 680 with 10% down to qualify. I've heard they will be dropping the credit score a little so more people can obtain mortgage loans. Has anyone heard this?

Will credit card companies let you only pay intrest on your credit card (not the minimum payment) if you ask? Does anyone know if American Express offers this, or is it unheard of?

My husband worked in construction for 3 years until he had his accident. He fell 30 feet off a ladder and landed head first into the dirt. Thankfully he was okay, and scraped by with just a conncussion. Nevertheless, we were hit with $2500 in medical bills because his employer skipped town and filed bankruptcy 2 days after his accident. Since that day he hasnt been back to construction because he is honestly afraid of heights now. He has worked 3-4 jobs since his accident, but none of them paid as much as his construction job and he have put ourselves 50K into debt trying to keep our heads above water. I feel like I will be taking the cheaters way out if I file but I really dont know what else to do.
Is this a good reason to file?? Or am I just not thinking hard enough on a good way to get out from under this pile of debt?

I'd love some advice on raising my score from decent into good. I've been working on improving my credit for the last 4 years, but it barely changes.

I've paid off all my negative debts, and have been working on removing a couple from my record. Removing an old negative record has actually lowered my score in the past, which worries me. I'd love some advice on how that works.

I've settled down, bought a house 6 months ago, opened a couple of credit cards more than 6 months before I bought the house, and one more recently. My student loans were consolidated years ago. Late payments are very rare.

I'm trying all the usual credit advice, why isn't anything changing?

My husband had an outstanding credit card debt, that a creditor filed against our tax returns for, for the last several years.

A few months ago, a different collector bought the debt, and emptied our bank accounts. When we contacted them about it, they told us the debt it was for and we explained that our tax return had been used several years in a row to pay that debt. We were told they bought it as a valid debt and they were going to persue it.

We contacted the IRS, and were given statements of the amounts paid. The other creditor was OVERPAID by $1,000.00. They then turned around and sold the debt to a different company.

We have sent the new creditor the paperwork from the IRS....but it has made no difference. They said they would look into it....but didn't. All they did is buy time, to hit our accounts again, and completely drain them!

How can we stop this from continuing and how can we get this money back? HELP!
