Honey I was discharged in Feb. 07 and let me tell you...u do not need a credit repair company...they don't help and you are going to be shelling out more money that could go towards establishing credit and eliminating other debts. Get educated on what and how to improve credit situation after bankruptcy....it's hard to do, but you can do it. After being discharged for 8 months, my score went from a 525 to a 647! I check my credit every 3 months and dispute any crazy things that is on there that could possibly pull my score down. Get a credit card, either secured or unsecured and go from there. No credit repair company trust me!

You should not do that. Your credit report will reflect the chapter 7 for 10 years. However, rebuilding your credit is up to you, not any company to which you'd pay your hard earned money. Pay your rent on time. Pay any existing secured debt on time. Maybe after a year or two, get a small credit card line and pay that off, in full, every month. Do not carry balances on your credit cards ever again. Maybe you'll want to buy a car again some day. Pay that debt on time too. After a few years, your credit scores will improve dramatically.

If you've filed bankruptcy, a credit repair company can't do a thing. By the way, there is no such thing as a "good" credit repair company.

You are going to have to re-establish your credit by paying all your bills on time. You may have to get a secured credit card to start.

They can’t legally do this if the bankruptcy is accurate. If you try to dispute a bankruptcy listing, it will just come back as verified. Also, the methods credit repair companies use to remove bankruptcy from your credit report are illegal and sometimes cause more problems in the long run.

Credit repair is a scam.

Derogatory accounts stay on your credit for 7-years from the date of first delinquency and bankruptcy's stay for 10-years.

Nothing that is accurate can legally be removed.

I went through this 7-years ago and re-establishing your credit is really not that hard.

I got two credit cards made everyday purchases with them being careful not to exceed 30% of my limit in any given month and paid them off in full before the due date. After 1-years I was able to buy a new car at 3.9% with no money down after another year I bought a home at 6.5% fixed again with no money down.

You just have to be smart about how you use your credit after a BK and you can have really good credit in no time.

No!, obtain a couple of secured c/c and charge small amts, (things you can afford, and normally buy cash), and pay on them , on time for a two year period. If you find any debt that shows up now, that occurred before the b/k, or before discharge date, have your atty. include that debt, in the b/k. Pay any, and all debts on time, w/ no lates, for the two yr. period. And your credit score will increase, and continue to do so from then on! Depending on how fast you re-establish credit, it will take 2-5 years to obtain a satisfactory score. Hope this helps, Good Luck!

You need to check out this video on how to increase your credit score by using a 100% legal loophole. Here is the video URL: http://www.creditscoresecret.org

I was able to get to 595 from 489 in just one day and from 489 to 748 in just a few week; that's pretty fast in my book. Good luck!

No, that's just another expense. Just religiously pay on time when you get your first credit card, maybe after a little while, bills pay on time, you'll get there.
