I'm guessing you have one of those debit cards for kids under 18 that can ONLY be used to take money out, not as a credit card at all. And the reason is because you are not old enough to have a checking account that can use a check card in that fashion, so you are going to have to wait till you turn 18. If you already are an adult, go to your nearest bank and open a free checking account, because you currently have the wrong kind of account.
