I am looking to be added to a lease in a three bedroom apartment with two people who are already approved. I am stably employed but had a rough patch where I had trouble paying my bills and it has negatively impacted my credit score. Thanks in advance for any and all feedback!

That is a very low score. I don't see it causing you not to get the lease though. Worst case scenario is that you'll have to leave a double deposit because of your risk.

I had a lower score than that (520 or so) and was still able to rent a place. Your credit score is not the only factor a landlord looks at, and lots of people go through the "rough patches" you describe. I had a bunch of revolving debt and had to enlist a credit counselor, but I was able to get my place because (at the time), I'd held my current job for 8 years, had always paid the rent on time even while being in debt, and had lived at my previous place of residence for a couple of years, and gotten good recommendations from people.

What really helps is to provide references of past landlords and current employers. Paying rent on time is important, yes, but there are other factors that make someone a good tenant too.
