After I had opened up a Bank of America student debit account I got set up for a credit card that was to be sent to me. I never received the card due to mail situations and I never even activated it. I kept the account but didn't plan on using it because at the time, I knew I was not ready for a credit card.

Well, now I have to pay a bill with it and when I called the bank to get it resent there was a big ordeal and I guess someone used it to buy gas in Europe in December. So now it's handled by the fraud group and they aren't there until Monday.

Anyway, how long will it take for me to get my card sent to me if I handle this Monday?
If it is not sent to me in time to pay this bill, is there a way I can charge it without having the actual card?

and, why the heck is no one available to handle this over the weekend? Im pretty ticked at this bank.

NOTICE if your putting money in the bank say from a CHECK it could be made out to SANTA CLAUS and WHAM! it clears just fine hahaha. Notice if you want CASH for a check OMG! we need your thumb print toe print mothers maiden name. I THINK BANKS are terrible these days tricking consumers and they are GREEDY. Bank Of America has more NET INCOME than Wal-Mart and all they do is hold money. OPINIONS? WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT BANKS? I think the government need to PROTECT THE AVERAGE CONSUMER MORE

I got a car almost 2 years ago from a place that is supposed to help people with bad credit. I have had nothing but problems with them in the last year. Now that the car is almost paid off, they keep calling me daily harassing me, telling me that I have not been paying them, when I see the payments being taken out of my checking account. They not only harass me, but my mother as well, telling her that I have not made any effort to resolve this with them, that I have not made any payments to them at all, even if I had just spoken to them minutes before they call her!! They even put on my credit report that I have not paid them in 30 days!!

Well now that the car is 3 weeks from being paid off, they came and repossessed it. I was just wondering if any one knows if there is a way I can get help with this, I just want it off the credit report, I don't care any more that I don't have the car! It hasn't even ran since January! Thanks to all those who try to help and read this!

I am selling my house (it was an investment property that I am flipping) and using the proceeds to pay off credit card debt that I have incurred while redoing the home. After the house is sold all my cards will be paid off and the only things I will have to make payments on are my car and student loan. I was wondering how long it will take the credit card companies to notify the credit report of their zero balance status? Can I ask the credit card companies to report the paid off status to my credit report immediately? Also should I close most of these cards or close them? How should I decide which credit cards to close and which to keep open to keep a high credit score? ( I have never had a 30 day late on any of my cards) I want to do whatever I can to improve my credit score the most.

I am failed financially and about to seek protection under the bankruptcy law. I run up credit card bills while being married to my to-be-ex-wife, but I don’t want her to be responsible for my failure. Should I file BK before or after divorce is finalized? How can I be sure my creditors wont go after my ex-wife just because we were married when I over-extended myself? Also, I’d like to be sure that her credit wont be killed because of me. Thanks.

I want to offer my friends something that works similarly to CDs. Although I would not call myself a "bank" or "depository institution" I would be paying them interest on what they give to me.

Is this legal? Of course, I know *loaning* is illegal unless you're a chartered bank, but I'm not loaning money or charging interest. I'm simply making their money grow with a new type of financial instrument (that works pretty similarly to a CD).

Since nobody's ever heard of this financial instrument, I'm clear, right?

Im sure all of you have heard of piggybacking, its where you ask someone with excellent credit to add your name onto their card. After that, the person with great credit history will help you out by listing their many long years of credit and adding it to your credit list/ score.

My question is, once you have added your name to the card and have retained the excellent credit, and you have decided to cut your name from the card of which you have piggybacking off of, will you lose your newly gained credit history and score?

Alright here is my problem, Im 20 years old. I have pretty good credit. I love my mom but shes sick in the head and has a lieing problem. i live with my dads side of the family because of this. Anyways i come to my moms house every now and then and when i check the mail everytime. Im getting letters from ATT wireless, washington mutual statements, us bank statements and credit card statements from them both, IN MY NAME. I HAVE NEVER applied to any of those places. the only bank i have is BANK OF AMERICA Now im worried about what shes doing. I ask her about it and naturally she acts like she doesnt know. And ofcourse she knows my information she is my mom. What can i do to stop these bank accounts she opens online with my name? And shes applying for wireless in my name. Should i call the banks and tell them to close them? I dont know what to do about this. Shes basicly using my identity.

Ok, so I'm 16 and I live in NY. I want to make a debit card, and I've heard that I need to take a parent along. My mom doesn't have a bank account, so can I just take her along and open an account? How much would I need to deposit to get started? The closest bank near me is Astoria and Chase. And what special papers or cards would I need to bring (school ID, passport, etc)? Thanks for any responses.

My friend is a minor like me, we're only 15, but he has a credit card that he uses to buy stuff online, so he doesn't have to use his mom's credit card. I was wondering where to get something like that, like a credit card that you fill up with money and you can use it anytime.

If I send a letter to my creditor telling them that I'm willing to pay back my debt if they'll send back a written confirmation that they'll take it off my credit record, would that work?

Also, would that mean that I have to pay back the entire amount? Is that the only way to deal with judgments on a credit report?
