http://www.annualcreditreport.com That is the ONLY free site. This is the site that the government set up for your once a year check of your credit report for FREE. The other ones make you sign up for some silly credit monitoring thingy that costs you money if you don't cancel in 30 days.

Go online to any one of the three major credit bureaus to get your free credit file. Equifax , Trans union, Experion. You are allowed one free credit report every year by law.(FCRA) Fair credit reporting act. Write to them and request it also with a letter showing your ID and a bill showing proof of address.

I believe it is www.freecreditreport.com There are so many, be careful--you might go through everything and then find out you have to pay for just a little something to get your report.

www.annualcreditreport.com is correct. freecreditreport.com is the one you pay for.
