i was banking with bank of america for two years now, and like a dummy i was signing up for diffrent things through the bank and now they wont stop withdrawing money out of my account which is causing overdraft fees i still owe a balance from them drawing out money will i still be able to cancel the account?

You should READ what you sign very carefully.Once the balance owed is payed then close the account if you so choose.You signed up for something and the bank is doing what you authorized it to do.

You can close the account but you will have to pay the negative balance. Banks will usually work out a payment plan if it is a large amount of money. You want to make sure that you pay the balance before they report you to Chexsystems. Once you have been reported there it stays on there records for 7 years, and you will be unable to open a free checking account at any other bank. You will still be able to open an account but will be charged a monthly service fee.

Go to the bank. Cancel all the stuff you signed up for -- I didn't know BOA had a bunch of services that deducted from your account. Pay whatever the negative balance is, then close the account.

If you don't take care of this, BOA will report you to Chexsystem and you will not be able to get another bank account anywhere.
