About a year ago, my credit score was somewhere 500-600. So I decided to get a secure credit card to raise my credit score. I 've had this card for about a year now, and then decided to apply for a non-secure credit card few weeks ago. I was DENIED. I was kind of surprised, because I thought a year was long enough to build my credit to qualify me for an actual credit card. So I decided to check my score online through myFico.com. My score is now 610 (just Equifax). There were 7 accounts on my report:

1. Installment Account (School Federal Loans): Status is good.
2. 3 Active Collection Accounts: old medical bills, cell phone bills.
3. Revolving Account: My current secure credit card, Status is also good, I pay on time, but my balance is usually close to the available credit limit.
4. 2 Revolving Accounts: Charged Off

My last 2 years of payment history is good, no missed payments. The negative items are old.

How can I improve my credit? can my secure credit card allow me to reach 700?

I was so excited when I got it that I cashed it, and then I started thinking and realized that it was probably a scam. After doing some research I have found that it is a scam. What should I do now?

I am in credit counseling in canada. I am in a position to pay off my credit counseling and I am wondering if I should pay it through the credit counseling or pay the credit cards directly. ( I prefer to pay them directly as it is a large amount of money)

I recently went to the bank to see what I need to do to buy a house. I was shocked to find out I was in much more debt than I suspected. I want to know tho, does that credit report cover everything? Do they contact all the collection agencies or just run a check with one of them? And could somebody please tell me just how many agencies we have. I live in Kansas if that makes a difference! Thanks!

I was looking at airline miles credit cards, and this one has no annual fee. It says the card and the rewards program is fee-free. From their main website: "0.00% Introductory APR (0.0000% DPR) for Purchases for your first 6 months of Cardmembership. Then, a variable APR of 13.24% (0.0363% DPR);15.24% (0.0418% DPR); or 18.24% (0.0500% DPR), depending on our review of your application and credit history."

Unlimited Travel Choices, Zero Travel Restrictions, Any airline, No blackout dates, Any hotel, No seat restrictions, Any cruise, No Saturday overnight stay requirements, Any car rental, No advance purchase requirements, Any travel package.

How good does this card sound as a airline miles credit card? Any reviews on this card? Basically I just like the idea of spending money on the expenses I usually buy while earning points towards a airplane ticket.

I'm 21 and have a fulltime job and a checking account, but no savings account. Do I just walk into the bank and say "I need a $4,000 loan?" Then, do they give it to you straight cash? (By the way, I need the money for a new car and/or a new apartment). I have good credit, too (based on my cell phone bill, gasoline bill, and credit card bill).

If one person has a lot of debts with credit cards, has no job and no assets in the US, but transfer money using you checking account to an overseas account and later closes all the bank accounts in the US.

Will the credit cards company know this person transfered money to an overseas account?

Can they go after this bank account overseas and try to freeze it and screw up you credit in other country as well?

I am looking to buy something from a seller who does not accept credit cards however when i called my credit card company it turns out they charge a 5% fee to take money out of an ATM. a 5% fee would be a hefty amount since I am looking to take out quite a bit of money. Is there any other way to turn credit into actual cash or even a check or money order
