I am looking to buy something from a seller who does not accept credit cards however when i called my credit card company it turns out they charge a 5% fee to take money out of an ATM. a 5% fee would be a hefty amount since I am looking to take out quite a bit of money. Is there any other way to turn credit into actual cash or even a check or money order

A few of my credit cards allow me to use thier checks w/ out a fine. Also, a majority of the checks are for a lower intrest for a certain period of time. Just call them and ask. (Oh but ask for details, one of my comp. allows the checks, but I get charged a cash advananced apr which is astronomical!)

A fine? You mean a fee. No. if you write a check or get a pin number or cash advance..it isn't technically your money. They loan it to you and you pay it back. So they fee you.
