I am trying to get an apartment and me and my potential roommate were denied b/c we did not have ant credit. I thought that when you get a co-signer they foot the bill as far as credit is concerned. The lady at the apartment complex said that we did not approve and that she did not even bother to run the co-signers credit b/c we did not have good enough credit. I thought that if you get a co-signer, your credit is not taken into consideration but the co-signers is. Should this stop me from getting the apartment or is the lady being anal?

I haven't started the Credit Consolidation process yet, but I intend to get my debt under control and paid off within the next two years. In looking into it however, I have seen that the overall goal is to reduce the monthly payment (say to $250-$300, for my type of debt).

My debt is relatively manageable (11k) with my annual income, but the fact that it is on 13 different credit cards is killing me in terms of paying off the cards completely. I would like to have one huge debt, and make one huge payment in order to pay off my cards pronto.

Do Credit Consolidation agencies let you make higher payments to pay off your debt quicker?

I returned an item to a store which I had purchased with one credit card. In the mean time I had canceled this card. When the clerk went to credit me she said she could only credit back that card, not the one I had to replace it. Was this just this stores policy, or is that just the way things are?

My credit card account was recently cancelled by the credit card company due to lack of activity (I haven't used the card since 2005). I was a great customer. I never over-spent my credit line and always paid my balance on time and in full. When I received the notice informing me of the cancellation I called the cc company to resolve the issue. The reps I spoke to refused to reactivate my account or open a new one for me even though they erred and cancelled my account 4 days sooner than the proposed cancellation date noted on the statement. I don't really care about the account and stopped using the card due to the low credit line (I've been using a different cc). Still, I'm concerned this cancellation will leave a blemish on my credit history. If this is so how can I mend the structure of my credit history?

MyFico.com?

I checked my Experian credit score on myFico.com today, and it shows 569 (the other agencies are reporting scores in the low-600's). However, when I checked my score on Experian.com, my score is now 524.

2 different scores on the same day, from the same agency, except one of them is through myFico.com.

Why the discrepancy? Also, what score would a lender use in this scenario?

Thanks

I'm choosing to buy a car from a private owner and I need to find a loan that will have the lowest interest rate possible for someone that doesn't have good credit. I know I will have a high interest rate already, I just want the lowest for my situation. So I'm assuming I would have to go through a bank. Now, I just need to know what banks are willing to work with those that have not so good credit. ( young mistake ) And still let me buy from this private owner and not a dealer. I need all the help I can get, I really like this car. help please!

I am a student that just received my first credit card and strictly want to use it to build credit. I have a high 19% interest rate and $300 limit. Can I still get good credit if I pay the full amount off each month or would I get better credit if I pay it off in a few months. What’s the best way to do this? Thanks !

I was employed with a company as an underwriter where I would go to a brokers office and approve their loans. When I was working with this broker, they encouraged me and allowed me to submit loans to them as a loan officer. Now two years later one of my loans came back as a buyback for foreclosure and the lender discovered fraud, which was clearly proven that i had nothing to do with. But, because I was the originator and underwriter they said I have to pay for the loan cost involved. because they allowed this to happen they have threatened to contact the lender that is asking them to pay the loan back, to let them know they made a mistake and allowed me to originate and underwrite, they think the lender will come after me ( i am no longer employed with them), but i believe this lender will file a suit against them and shut them down with dre. can i be sued for originating and underwriting when they allowed it and what can happen to me with the company that i no longer work for?

I'm 21, a full-time college student, and I have approximately $10,000 of credit card debt. I honestly don't have anything to show for this debt, I don't know how it added up to be so much. My main credit card has about $7,500 on it (I have smaller store cards which I am able to manage) and I can't keep up with the payments. I'm a full-time student and I don't have a car, so I'm not able to work as much as I would like. My min. payment is $300 which I cannot afford, I send approx. $150-200 a month but I am racked with overlimit fees and whatnot. I am so stressed out because I am unable to save any of the money that I make, because all of it is used to pay off credit cards. Should I try to file for bankrupcy? I know that it stays on the record for 10 years, but I can't see myself getting rid of this debt for 10 years anyways. Would filing affect my student loans? What about a checking account? Would I be able to get a car/apartment in the future with a co-signer? Please help!!

A collection Agency called me for a rental due on me almost 5 years ago. It is about some cleaning charges on the aparment I was living in. I took over the lease from somebody so they have his as well as my name on the collection. They are threatning me now since they see property in my credit history that I have a home.
My question is Can they call me for some charges where they have a mix up of names and that too after almost 5 years. What is the legal time frame for them to get in touch with me after the debt is due. I guess they just overtook the account and are looking at some old files.
How can I resolve the issue. Please let me know.
