I believe the first answer is incorrect, I'm sure it is 04-30-07,
it is correct that they will send you a new one prior to expiration.

Although I can't say for sure (it may very well differ among institutions), I would think that, since the day isn't specified, it would be valid for the entire month of April. Be careful though, because some businesses may deny it anyway. I was once denied a membership at a local movie rental place because my debit had reached its month of expiration, even though my bank explicitly told me it was good until the end of the month.

You will get a new card before it expires, but to answer your question, it normally means the last day of the month.

4/01/07 is when it expires
they'll send you a new credit card with a new expiration date before then, though
