In answer to your question, the answer is yes. I use mine all the time. Your debit card must have a Visa or MasterCard logo on it. You use a debit card the same way you use a credit card. The only major difference is, using a credit card, some stores do not check the amount you want to spend if it is under a certain amount. (Such as 25.00 to 50.00 dollars. This in essence could make you go over the limit. But with a debit card, when it is ran through, it processes directly to your checking account and the merchant know immediately if your amount has been approved. If you do not have the money in your account at the time the card is swiped, it will decline your purchase.

Yes, if the debit card has a Visa or MC logo it can be run as a check card. A check card is run just like a credit card.
