Customization often appears to be the best of the both worlds, developing your own software application versus buying a complete software package. The concept is that the only work the enterprise will need to complete is a little tweaking for the product to work. Why is this a risky strategy? What factors contribute to the risk?

The work is that of giving advice to people who want to start a business. Recently management have taken the view that CRB checks should apply because of the remote case of advicing to someone with mental problems who is considered vulnarable. The initial employment contract did not include it as a condition.

Want to become an attorney but would love to get experience while working at a law firm. Plus would be if they had a benefits package that included educational assistance. Does such a creature exist? Thanks!

I work at a very stressful job in a hospital. I am an RN and work 12 hour shifts 3 days weekly. I would like to supplement my income by either working extra at the hospital or getting a PRN (as needed) part time job on the side.
The hospital is very demanding, high paced stressful work. and very demaning. If I work extra there I get paid 1 1/2 time my normal salary.
The alternative is to get a job working at a nearby nursing home which I really enjoy, and the stress is minimal and make about $10 per hour less than I make in the hospital.
If I start working at a nursing home, it will only be a day or maybe 2 days every 2 weeks.
What would you do? Make the big money or have less stress?

Seems like a lot of them can't get along over an extended period of time. In our office, we have at least three "secretary squabbles" a week.

Is it okay for women to make more money than men?
my wife and i are both family doctors. She makes $140k while i make $100k, and i have no problem with that. I am actually proud that she is worth more than me in the medical market.

But, while at a party, a friend of mine was outraged that i made less than my wife for some reason. i told him that i was proud and had no problem with that, but i think he had issues with male-biased thinking. he was asking about salary, so i didnt ignore his question

also stating your age range will help me understand where you are coming from
0-20, 20-40, 40-60, 60-118(oldest human i think)

OK, second job in healthcare setting. First job, doc was b****, stayed a year and couldnt handle it any more. Next, went to a surgery center. I thought this was "the one" Turns out instead of catering to one b****, I am being ordered around by several nurses.
Is it me? good grief.
I am always told that "its that way everywhere"
I am looking for another job. BTW, I am a medical assistant
Opinions please.

i often have to consult the IT guys at my work about projects. the one who is on my floor was obnoxious and condescending initially, then i told him off and he said he was trying to be "oddly" funny and he's just like that. since i started, ive always caught him checking me out and he was nice after that. then we were kind of jokey, friendly with one another. it was sort of flirty and he would blush, trip. yesterday, i went over just to say hi, because i was on break, which i never do, and he was totally obnoxious/weird. he was like what do you need. i said i came to say hi. he says hi obnoxiously. i say, you're giving me a mean look. he gets flustered and starts talking about the color printer. i get curt and leave. i didnt say hi the rest of the day but he kept looking at me when we passed each other. cant make out how to act with him? should i just avoid him? he is 43 (i am 25) and english and always stares at my boobs/butt in addition, which makes it evenmore weird.

Need help with what to say in my resignation.

The job I'm resigning from is my first "fulltime" job - that is, any other job I've had up til now has been casual so quitting hasn't been hard.

I'm aiming to resign to take up a much more enjoyable job within a month. My resignation therefore will be due in two weeks.

What do I say, or do? Is it best to leave a letter on a desk - or go to the boss and say so as well?

What reaction should I expect...?

Secondly, too...a bit reason of the fact I'm resigning is the culture of my co-workers - there is an extremely "bitchy", backstabbing culture here and to be honest, I can't stand it anymore.

Does that seem like a legitimate reason to leave - that is, in terms of a new employer asking why I left?

I have been placed on PC following allegations surrounding paperwork fraud. I have a vehicle which is in my contract as 'business needs' and have been told that they can now come and take it. My argument is that I am available for work and on full pay whilst the case is investigated and im therefore waiting for a call to say come to work!
It states clearly on my letter that I am still bound by my contract of employment. Anyone know anything more on this or have ever suffered the same? please its urgent !

I used to think that I wanted to be a veterinarian, because I love animals, but then when I realized that you have to give them shots and other things I didn't want to do it.
I am currently considering becoming an architect, but I can't really see myself doing that. It seems so boring.
When I watched "An Inconvienant Truth." I became really motivated to help with the enviroment, but I'm not sure I career options there are.
I love watching CSI: Miami and thought that maybe going into forensic sciences would be interesting, but I'm not sure.
What other career options are there that somewhat connect to my interests?

I have only been working for about 5 months now and I do not really fancy my current job. I work in a law firm as a paralegal. I have only just recently graduated from a diploma in law.

Now that i have just been confirmed with a pay raise, the firm i did my internship called me back to work with them. What should I do? My internship firm called me twice already.

Help anyone?

I'm a young lady about to enter my senior year of high school, and I'm narrowing down my decisions on my career path. I love language, but I also have an affinity for the medical field and helping people. I am trying to combine the two interests, and I have come upon Speech-Language Pathology.

http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos099.htm

What I want out of my future: I don't wish to pursue a fierce career path. I want to be a mommy some day with my husband as the main "bread-winner". However, I wish to live a pretty comfortable lifestyle with a stable job for the both of us.

Do you think SLP is a good career for a lady who wishes to live a traditional life with a family some day? Is it too much commitment?

Also, what are the pros and cons of being a Speech-Language Pathologist? Is it a stressful job? Would I make more money if I started my own practice with a partner, perhaps my husband?

Hello, and thank you for checking this out.

I currently have an associates degree in accounting and I am having a hard time finding a job... every employer seems to want experience in the accounting field and I have none.

I am getting ready to start my undergraduate program in accounting and now I am wondering about getting a job after I receive my bachelors degree.

Do you think it will be easier / harder to find employment in the accounting field with a bachelors degree and NO experience?

My mother quit her job at Kroger due to moving, she gave them notice of it as well but when she moved they claimed they didn't know and gave her the run around about her papers. They didn't want her to leave because she was one of the hard workers, so much that they put on her file that she "walked out" after they tried to convince her to return but our new home was way too far for her to drive everyday and the pay wasn't all that great to begin with. Now she really needs those papers, how can we go about getting them when Kroger refuses to do so? Can we take any legal action to make them hand them over or is there some higher place to get her resignation papers? Thank you in advanced.
