5.15 I think is still the federal minimum but it will be going up 50 cents.

Once you are sixteen you can work as much as anyone else in the work place, when not in school. While in school you will probably be limited to weekend work and possibly some evening work, four hours per day, are a total of 36 hours per week. You could stretch that to forty hours, if you are working two different jobs. The minimum wage is about to be $5.85 per hour, but most places start you at $6.00 per hour depending on the nature of the work. If working at a restaurant you would only make $2.13 per hour plus tips, if a waiter, but if a dishwasher or bar back you would probably make $6.00 per hour.
