ok here is the question i have been asked:

"If you had to pick ONE answer which would it be? ....to come to work late or would you steal from the company?"
i answered "come to work late"...but i asked my friend the same question and he said the correct answer would be to choose "neither" and say that both of the answers are bad answers and that i cannot answer the question! but if that is true, wouldnt the employer think that i coudnt make a decesion?

A department in Best Buy Corporation has adopted the flexible work day policy where employees are free to come and go as they please. The constraints of 9-5 are done away with, but all that is required is that projects get finished on time.

he is 43. i am 25. he is in IT. I am in HR. I started 6 months or so ago. I always thought he was attractive but old and and kind of gruff. plus, he was obnoxious if i ever asked for help. so i basically ignored him, didnt say hi whatever. i figured he just didnt like me in any way. he would sometimes say hi and i would be rude because i thought he was obnoxious. then one day, i called him on it. he said he was trying to be funny and is just like that. i told him off a little. around that time, i could ALWAYS see him looking at my boobs and butt. we've become somewhat friendly. he blushes sometimes when we joke around, has tripped embarassedly started, saying hi, and wearing cologne. it seems he is attracted to me but kind of like squelches it. i dont know how to act around him and it makes me feel awkward. i want to be friendly and cool but dont want him to think/know i like him, nessecarily, esp. if he has a gf or doesnt like me or thinks he is too old/doesnt want to date a coworker?

Hi, I got an offer to work 6 months for a staffing company names RANDSTAD.

Now the positive thing is that the billing company I will be work for has a good reputation and it is minimum commute. The down side is I've heard horrible experience with staffing company like they will treat you bad after you sign the contract, higher tax at the year end and the billing company will used temps like a work machine, or you will have difficulty being integrated with the permanent workers there.

This is not my only option and I can also chose to work at another company which is also nice, permanent, but 1h commute. I know people will find choice 2 much better, but I hate driving and I don't have difficulty to find another permanent job after the temp is over. However, if these stories about staffing, temp jobs are true, I will definitely drive 2hs everyday to get my bread. Thanks!

I don't want to work where I don't feel comfortable. What can I do, to b honest she only has a problem with me, and tries to change everything that I do. I feel low and stressed most of the time when she is around. Can you advise what I can do? Do you think I should leave work or stay the way I am?

Now that I think about it, I do not recall having three straight days of work to do. I do not think they need a full time body here, i think they can get away with a PT person....they are paying me GREAT money.

I am sure that half of YA'ers would think I should just sit - but its not in my blood or my character to do nothing. I think my skills are going to waste.

Has this ever happened to any of you? What did you do about it?

No stupid or negative answers - keep them to yourself.

My current employer needs to make some improvements when it comes to her work ethic, dependability, and so much more. It has been an ongoing problem over several months and the staff is very frusrtated, people have quit because of her, and we have already made an attempt to write a letter to the corporate office to notify them about these problems and nothing was done. She continues to get worst. We wrote a letter to her expressing all these problems and frustrations. Those staff that agreed with the letter could sign it. My questions is, could we loose our jobs for speaking up? Any advice, comments, or suggestions would be much appreciated. God Bless.

I would like to get into a career position at Starbucks. I'm trying to write an interesting, ear catching letter.

Working at a universal, socially conscious and ecologically responsible haven for creativity is a great desire of mine. Through research I have found that Starbucks Coffee Company is the ideal fit for such a dream.
I am a creative university graduate with a desire to build a solid career and income base while furthering professional achievement. Along with my outgoing personality, the experience of growing up with a family business unfolding from the ground up has encouraged me to seek understanding of cultural diversity and people of all ages. Extensive experience in the service industry, and currently working at my family’s financial firm, has given me confidence in serving a broad range of people.
I believe l would be a valuable resource for Starbucks Coffee Company.

This is a draft for a cover letter/objective statements/something. I'm trying something new and interesting as my job search so far has been disappointing:

This isn’t a difficult intro to draft. Why would working at a universal, socially conscious and ecologically responsible haven for creativity be a hard sell for an artistic university graduate with a desire to create a solid career and income base while furthering a lifetime of professional achievement and business chops. Along with my outgoing personality, the experience of growing up with a family business unfolding from the ground up has encouraged me to seek understanding of cultural diversity and people of all ages. Extensive experience in the service industry, and now working at my family’s financial firm, has given me confidence in working and serving a broad range of people. I know I will be a valuable resource for Starbucks Coffee Company serving as a Real Estate Assistant (job code) or a Store Manager (job code).

I was looking to pursue some classes in the culinary arts. There are (what they call) career specialization programs where you concentrate on an aspect of culinary arts that most interests you...ex baking, cooking, management etc.
These courses are 17 credits (instead of the associate degree program where you learn everything about culinary arts...that is 66 credits)
I wanted to do the baking/pastry course to gain more credentials than I have already in food service...i know nothing technical about baking or pastries.
so do you guys think these certificates are hooey or a worthwhile investment? If I applied to a bakery, supermarket or private..or if i worked for a catering company would i get the job over any other entry level person if i had this?

also (yes i know the actual degree would be better) but i can't afford it...no i don't want a 21 thousand dollar loan...do you..that's a lot of money when you make 8 bucks an hour and nobody can help you out.
