This really depends on what state you live in because it varies. Where I live the age to work for a non-family member is 15, but it may be different where you live. Try googling (Your state's name) Department of Labor. Then search child labor laws within the site for additional information.

Some states let employers hire at 14-15; check with the Labor Relations Board about a Work Permit

That depends on your state law.
The best way to find out is to check with the state labor board or if you know the manager of any store ask them. If you can't then can you start your own biz like mowing lawns, washing cars, walking dogs. Some kids make a lot doing this. You just have to schedule your time well and keep track of what you make. You can open a checking account and keep a record of who you worked for, the day, time, and how much they paid. If this turn out to be a good thing you could get a biz license and put your earnings in a college fund. Good luck to you.

Why would you want to feed fast food to people? Do you know how dangerous this "food" is to the health of people? I hope that you consider the impact of the work that you will do.

Please consider services to you local community. There are many jobs that you could do at your neighbors that would be profitable:

Landscape care
Errands (buying groceries, if walking distance)
Elder care companion
Window washing (business and homes)
Housekeeping

Whatever you do, try to be the best at what you do and try to avoid the corporate gigs. Long-term, you may find yourself running your own profitable small business and hiring others.

As everyone else has said, in most cases, you need to be 16 before you can apply for a work permit. Unless you really hate kids, though, I'd encourage you to rethink your attitude toward babysitting. These days, if you negotiate properly (or can offer something special like Red Cross certification), you can charge a pretty darn good hourly rate.
