I either want to be a theoretical physicist or a roboticist.

I have great interest in electronics, physics, maths, programming, and robotics. I kind of want to do both but then can I get phds in both at the same time? Because I don't want to be 90 years old when I have finished university. I really don't know much about careers.

I heard being a theoretical physicist wont get me that much money, but I have a real passion for that sort of stuff.

Anyone know something about careers that can tell me something?

I am a newly graduated nurse, in a new graduate nurse program, but the ward I am on is highly specialised, and I dont feel that I have the experience and knowledge to work in this ward. Ive not even had alot of nursing experience!
The hours are long, and its boring (compared to other wards). I am just so unhappy, and its spilling over into my personal life.
I just worry if I quit that it will affect my career, but if I stick it out (4 more months) Ill go insane, and end up on Prozac.

I have applied for another job in another hospital, so my thinking is, if I can get another job, then it should be ok, if Im honest about my reasons for leaving??

Thanks

i graduated last August with a BS degree in biology. I decided not to go to grad school right away so I could be with my family in a difficult time. I cannot find any job. I am not looking for a job in biology , i have no high standards all i want is a full time job that offers health insurance. I have tried for everything: bank teller, car rental, telemarketing, collections. (just to name some to give you an idea) I recently went to a temp agency and never heard back from them. I can gaurentee you it is not my resume, dress, lack of professionalism or any other silly thing that could be easily corrected. I just need to know where I can get any job. Just a job with insurance that is full time and preferably normal hours. And if you have to know i live in Cleveland,oh. I need money and volunteer work is out of the question, and also does not offer bennefits.

I am very passionate about starting a non profit organization for victims of abusive family members. I will do this, but do not know the first thing about how to go about it. I did some research and learned that I can try to find a fiscal sponsor to help with the startup costs. I learned that I need to find one that is somewhat similar to the type I am starting. I don't know what that is or where to begin.

Ok. I know a job is nothing to be picky about, but I need a job that can work around my schedule because I go to school from Monday through Friday from 8 am to 2 pm. I can't take no minimum pay job because I have credit card payments because of all the gas I spend to go to school (50 miles total to and from home to school). So does anyone know ANYONE. PLEASE HELP!!!

I'm looking for a legitimate, yet lucrative job to work from the comfort of my home. I am not necessarily looking for a sales job, unless it is something spectacular.

I'm 22 years old and will be officially finished with school on July 27 of this year. I will have my Bachelor's degree in Business Management and am clueless about what to do with my life. I'd like to start a career soon so that I can get married after my girlfriend of 1 year and 8 months graduates (2 years from now). I just don't know what I am interested in. I am definitely a people person and I'd like to find a job that allows me to interact with people constantly. I know this is broad, but are there any thoughts? Maybe just some random ideas so I can put together a list of those ideas. Thanks!

I just got this new job at some 'Spud Shed' and now I realize that it wasn't a checkout job but it was a damn labour jobs, and I hate labour jobs and now I want to quit after only 2 days. My 2 previous jobs were also crappy labourers jobs (they both lasted only a week). I want to work in retail, customer service or something with a 'checkout' ring to it. What recomendations can you give on how I would quit this boring dull job and where I would look for a checkout job. PLEASE HELP!

Is it better to use bullet or paragraph form these days? I have heard the argument either way, but have recently redone my resume in bullet form... I would love as many answers as possible!!!! (So I can take the majority!)

OH MY GAWD....NOT FOR ME

Basically nothing like what the job description was....Basically you and a team partner go out to random supermarkets around the county, stand outside it for 8 hours and flag people down to buy your products. This was listed as a management job, and now they say this part is the entry level part and will get promoted within a month...yet some of the people have been there for 7 months and have not been promoted...

Bottom line is...I hate it, and wont last another week without burning to a crisp standing in the sun for 8 hours and chasing down people to buy things off the table, while they are being rude to you

I got hired on Tuesday...and I worked on Wendsday and Thursday. I told them Friday I had a doctors appointment, and now here is the weekend. I do not want to come in on Monday and I don't care about getting paid from last week.

How do I quit? Do I come in Monday morning to speak with the manager? Do I call Monday afternoon? Never show up again??

Is it as prestigious as Medicine, Engineering?
Whenever I tell people about my major, they look down upon me. It doesn't impress them much. I know I shouldn't care much, but it hurts my esteem.
