Well, my mom took me to find a job today at the mall. Many stores are already full, and did not need any people (looks like some other teens beat me!!). I was able to find open positions in Sears and Walgreens, so I filed some job applications, and I'm supposed to get a call within the next few days. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later. I don't know how old you are, but to work at Sears or Walgreens, you gotta be at least 16. It might be less depending on where you live. (I live in Florida) I would really avoid mowing lawns and babysitting, because that's like...actual work!! I would check around in some nearby stores and ask them if they have any job openings. Hopefully no one's beat you to them, and you can get a job that will pay good. And if you can speak more than one language, you'll get the job for sure!! That's why I'm confident I'll get atleast one of the jobs, since I can speak fluent English, Spanish, and a little Japanese. Good luck!!

Teens, recognize what you are good at and that is usually the best way. I'll use myself as an example. I was and am great with kids. SO I would volunteer say at my church with kids and then they begged me to babysit. Volunteer to mow lawns, whatever is easy to do and you enjoy because you will naturally be good at it. Be a dependable worker is your strongest selling point for the future.

Depending on how old you are, you can check at your local fast food restaurants, other restaurants, and grocery stores (I know a grocery store that hires at 14 where I live). You can also ask your neighbors if they have any jobs for you (babysitting, cutting grass, etc.). Just ask around; you usually get a good job from people you know.
Hope you find something.

Start your own business.
Cleaning neighbours homes, cut grass, gardening, etc.
It's alot more fun when you are your own boss.
Voluneterring at the local hospital, animal shelter, seniors home looks good on a resume when your older too. You don't get paid but you feel good about helping others.

Go to food places and stores around you to fill out applications.
Maybe baby sitting for the summer or if you like outside work, lawn work.
Use your imagination. What do you like to do? Be creative.
THINK.

Have you thought about making money on line? I have found some great on line opportunities. It took a lot of research to find good sites and I made well over $2,000 last month. Please see my profile for more details and proof that these sites pay. All these sites are free to join too. Hope this helps.

Try babysitting, mowing the lawns, or cleaning up poop on your neighbor's lawns.
