I want to be a pharmacist in retail drug store , but my question is that does a student with B.S or M.S of pharmaceutical science can enter the the pharmacist license exam? Or they must get a Pharm.D degree ?thank you !!!

Yes; you must be a licensed pharmacist to dispense medications in a retail store.

The NABP requires a PharmD to take the pharmacy licensing exams. The pharmaceutical science degrees focus all on the science side of drugs and not the therapeutic aspects of them.

YOU WILL HAVE TO CHECK WITH THE BOARD IN YOUR STATE TO SEE WHAT THEIR REQUIREMENTS ARE. MOST CHAINS REQUIRE A PHARM DEGREE DUE TO LIABILITY INSURANCE COSTS.
