I'm 22 years old and will be officially finished with school on July 27 of this year. I will have my Bachelor's degree in Business Management and am clueless about what to do with my life. I'd like to start a career soon so that I can get married after my girlfriend of 1 year and 8 months graduates (2 years from now). I just don't know what I am interested in. I am definitely a people person and I'd like to find a job that allows me to interact with people constantly. I know this is broad, but are there any thoughts? Maybe just some random ideas so I can put together a list of those ideas. Thanks!

There's figuring out what you want to do and then there's also getting your foot in the door. In my experience both can be difficult.

Are you willing to be patient with yourself while you search for answers? It may take some time.

Will you be okay with an interim job as you figure all of the above out? Life tends to move one step at a time.

Are you willing to do research to learn more about yourself and the world of work? A librarian could probably point you to half a dozen career-oriented books. One good one is What Color Is Your Parachute by Richard Bolles.

Do you have the next step in mind? Sometimes with difficult problems that is all that you can do. What would be the next step for you?

If you have big plans, don't wait to start looking for that job you want! You need to see a career counselor from your department A.S.A.P. to explore your options. B.T.W. starting a career is a lot tougher than getting a job: it would probably be a rocky start until you find the right job to build your career.

There are several industries you can search through that look for people who like to interact with other people on a daily basis (insurance, retail, etc).

Either way, keep searching!

You might look check with some nonprofit (humanitarian) groups. They are always in need of people with management skills (imagine keeping up a business that depends on donations alone... pretty daunting!) and that would put you in almost constant contact with people, both within the organization and the people that it helps.

Like someone else said, if all else fails and you can't find anything, put your job-less time to good use and go for an MA/MS. Good luck!

Me and you are exact, 22 jus graduated with Business Management but I minored in Computer Science...so technically it's an MIS degree...

But anyway...I tried 2 jobs, one IT and one Marketing....hated both of them (lol you can check my questions asked on those 2 jobs). I think for someone like us a Human Resource job would fit perfectly (hiring, recruiting, salary negotiations, etc.)

But most importantly, if you hate it early, get out.

The first headline (to be), signifies that it hasn't occurred but. So yeah, she's alive. The moment headline signifies that it has already occurred, and might be used each time among the commencement and her obituary, or for a historical past lesson years after her loss of life.

not too familiar with that field, but I would guess a manager of any sort of business. Many job titles can be suitable for your degree like analyst, accounting auditor, system programmer, recuiter, insurance broker. Just depends on what particular job you fancy

Have you worked at all with the placement office at your school? They might have some tests they can give you to help you narrow things down some.

Isn't a little late to be asking this question?

Good luck.
