It would be interesting to know what type of job you are talking about. I have never had an employment agency charge me, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. I even worked at a temp agency and we never charged, maybe for your higher end executive jobs. But, the truth of the matter is that when the agency puts you on the job whether it be direct hire or an hourly position, they are getting their cut when they invoice the employer.

NO! If you are looking for a job and are going through a temp agency they shouldn't charge you anything. Now on the other hand if you are an employer looking for hired help then you and the agency should work out some arrangement as far as compensation goes.

Job agencies normally charge a fee, and yes, you should ask what it is. It might depend on the job - higher paying jobs can have a higher percentage fee. For a clerical job, it might be a month salary - for a high level executive job, can be a year's salary. For high level jobs the employer normally pays the fee - for lower level jobs, sometimes the employer does, sometimes the jobseeker does, sometimes it's split.

Check a couple places. Only you can decide if their service is worth the fee.

no legitimate agency will charge a job seeker ANYTHING. if u have to pay a fee tell them to f*** off and leave. the only ppl that ever get charged a fee legitimately are the employers that need employees.

In Mexico is legal that when someone is about to be hired she or he goes to the company doctor to be checked that she or he does not have a tatoo, if so, they cannot be hired or they are fired. That's why tatoos are not common among Mexicans. I guess you didn't see their passports to declare that they were Mexicans. I am convince that those persons were not Mexicans. Eventhough, call immigration. If they are Mexicans they can find a good job in Toyota Mexico (as soon as they clear the tatoos) or they can receive money for almost free from the Federal Mexican Government to establish their own small business in Mexico.
