Someone who has not used a P.O.S. System for a while could easilly get a job in a venue if all P.O.S. systems are different and the venue would need to train the new employee is this correct?

The systems are different, but the basic underlying processes are the same. If you've had significant experience in how a POS system works, you will be able to learn the details of a newer system quickly. At least you'll know what a bar code is and what it does at the scanner.
