The reason why I'm asking is because the full-time schedule they have setup for me permently is terrible. I have to work at least 2 or 3 nights/closings a week and the rest are day shifts. Tonight I got out at 11:30pm, didn't get home until 12am, and I have to wake up around 7-8am to start my morning shift. I would rather work part-time to avoid this 5-6 day in a row morning / night schedule. Thanks in advance!

Restaurant work: I don't get any benefits; the hours are horrible; I want to switch fields; I'm extremely unhappy with the work environmnet; and I want to go back to school.

I have 2 months left on my apartment lease with no other debts, and my total living expenses are $250 a month.
So I basically have a glorified part-time job, in which I'm burned out, and have nothing else to worry about.

The only problem is, I want to study Geology in Hawai'i. Should I pack up, go out on a limb for a dream... or stay, go to a mediocre school, find a new job and remain forever uninspired?

Mrs.S enters car park at 4.55pm and take ticket. the ticket has printed with these,"by accepting this ticket the holder is bound by terms and condition of the contract, Mrs.s reached on1 floor and finds the term of contract that one of these terms is that any car left after 5pm,will be charged $50 for her stay. Mrs. S does not like this and attempt to leave the car-park,there is however a line of cars exiting and her departure is delayed by 10minutes. at the pay kiosk the attendant tries to charge Mrs. Smith $50 for her stay. Mrs. S refused , she claims a contract was not formed.
could you briefly set out what you would consider Mrs.S's legal argument for her claim would be under common law? how would Carpark attempt to counter this claim?

I had a phone interview and a personal interview with the president of the compnay. This is a small company so I know that he is pulling multiple duties, especially know that the weather it getting better outside. My confusion is he has sent me an email saying that he would give me an offer the next week, then sends an email that week saying it'll be a little longer. It has been a few weeks and he still emails me telling me that the offer is coming and that he needs just a little more time. He assures me that he will send something as soon as he's done with a new start up company he's working on. My question is how long should I allow this to continue before I consider this void? It just confuses me that when let it go I suprisingly get an email from him "touching basis".

Thanks,

Kev

I have to complete the W-4 for a new job. I am fairly sure I have never done this correctly. It is always Line H that I screw up on.

If I want the highest amount each week in my pay check and, therefore, a lesser amount of a return at tax time, do I want Line H to be SMALLER or LARGER???

I live in FL. Not sure that matters for this, but still...

Thanks!!!

Hello all I am a sophmore in high school and have recently come under some mental pressure becuase I now don't know what I want to do as a career.

Let me give some background knowledge: I like D&D and writing, history, chemistry, am a good reader, fast learner, and dedicated person, and I hate math with a passion.

From about 7th grade onward I always thought I'd grow up and go to college to become a computer programmer because I like video games alot and would like to make them but I realise now taking algebra 2 in 10th grade that I hate math so much that if math is heavily involved in the computing process I should probablly not get involved becuase I would hate my job.
I guess I just like playing games more than I would making them...
Does programming require that much math? I now figure I don't know much about the profession and would like some info please, so if you have any could you help a kid out? Thanks~!

I had to go back to one of my first jobs for different reasons, I've known the owner of the this place for a while now, she is nice but we've been having problems (missing money)

we are three people dealing with money and there is no way to organize or count the money at the end of the day. So the following day when we get to work we get the news that there is missing money. Sometimes is just 9.00 dollars but yesterday it was 231.00 and the week before 700.00 when it's not suppose to happen

I know my co-workers didn't do it. besises there are camaras every where but we know until tomorrow who did it (e are waiting for some technictian guy). The waiting is killing me because I know didn't do it but my question is should I stay working there with all the stress or should I get another job?

The current organisation you work at is good, the job is statisfying, relationship with your boss is great and you have performed well so far. You feel you are currently underpaid and and hope for a good compensation package review in a couple of months time. Then you receive a great offer with 36% pay raise overall. You wish to stay for the above-mentioned reasons so you need to put it on the table NOW and negotiate for a raise. What is the best way to do it?

I hope to get answers from employers, human resource managers, manager with subordinates and employees (or course) as well to gain from different perspectives.

My job is an at-will employment...meaning that if any circumstances change where my position is not needed anymore, my position will be terminated. Circumstances did change, my boss that I solely worked for resigned.

The company is asking me to write a resignation letter that states my last working day. However, should I be writing one? I am not resigning, my position is just ending. I don't want future employers to think that I am at fault for ending my employment.

Do you have any advice for wording a resignation letter that safeguards my reputation at this company as a good employee or do you have other alternatives to writing a resignation letter??

Thanks for your answers!

Any suggestions. A friend was terminated for "falsifying" a travel log. It was an error on her part resulting in double pay for 30 dollars worth of milage. This happened 6 months ago and they just realized it. They have no proof that she actually knowingly submitted a false log, yet on her application for unemployment they stated reason for termination was "falsifying" a document.

Any suggestion for the appealShe has never had any write ups at all. Truly an error for which she offered to repay.
