I do not want to give this employer a two weeks notice simply because of the way in which i was treated and spoken to. I have a new job lined up that starts in a month, however i want to get paid for working the next three weeks and get paid out for my PTO. I have a feeling that they may just say don't worry about working out your two weeks. I will be able to get a great reference letter from one of my supervisors so i am not worried about that.

My question is how will it look on my part if i just give them one weeks notice?

My close friend's employer is constantly missing the payroll dates. On some occasions, she won't get paid but other employees will. No prior notification is given. Employees just don't get paid on payday. At the same time, some people are given their paychecks. Is this fair?

Has anyone here ever worked for Primerica?
I posted my resume on CareerBuilder and someone from a Primerica branch about 25 miles away from me called me for an interview. The interview is tomorrow, but I'm skeptical about wasting my time. I've had several people call me since I posted my resume, and most of them have been scams.
I'm wondering if this is one of those jobs where you don't make money unless you sell something. And where their turn-over rate is like 150% because no one wants to work there.
I let the guy know that I was unsure about the job, but he promised me that it was legitimate. I asked him what the pay would be and he didn't want to say. He also told me that the more money the branch makes, the more I would make. Doesn't that sound fake to you?!? I really don't want to waste my time and gas for something ridiculous, you know?
Just wondering if anyone else has ever worked for them.
Thanks!

A friend of mine got an email message from someone claiming to be Warren James, CEO of Warren James Jewellers in the UK. In the email, he askes my friend if she would be interested in working for him. The work would entail her sending payment for products via Western Union. As it is described, customers pay in US certified check and money order and my friend would have to forward the money via Western Union to the company in the UK. My friend would get to withhold 10% of all money as payment for her services. I know there is a Warren James Jewellers website that looks legit, but to me it sounds like a scam, like a money laundering scam or something. They want her to send a copy of her photo ID and to give some personal information such as address and phone number and such. If anyone can give me some advice as to what I can tell my friend so she doesnt make a mistake and have her identity stolen, or get in trouble for money laundering. What do you think about this?

The company I work for has office hours of monday - friday 8-4:30. We're having carpets installed tomorrow (Wednesday) so I'm told we're gonna close the office down. I asked if it was with pay & she said "probably without pay". Can they do that? I mean, its not MY fault I can't go to work!

I have a ex-designer that has recently got malicious and posted blogs about my self and my company. I questioned her work one time and she completely atacked me. She contacted my clients and told them fictional information about me in order to blackmale me to pay her for work she did not do. I want to know if I am bound to her contract if it's confidentiality agreement says she can not contact my clients for any reason and specifically she can not offer any information on how my business works good or bad.

So, I asked my boss for a $2.50 raise (which is a large raise, but, as assistant manager, I should be making this certain ammount). I receieved an e-mail from another co-owner later that night:

"I want to let you know that [boss] informed me of your request/ need to maintain the ability to move into your new residence. I will speak with you on this matter on Wednesday. Just know that we think the world of you and your happiness is a priority to us just as, of course, is the success of [our company]. Thank you for coming to us with your request. We appreciate your honesty."

In your opinion, what will be the outcome on Wednesday?!

This was a question on a morning radio station I heard this morning. No one on here knows who you really are, what is 1 thing about you that no one that you work with would have ever guessed?

I was really surprised by some of the answers this morning!

Just an interesting thought!!!

Examples from this morning, there was a CEO of a bank that smokes marajuana nightly. There was a cop that admitted to taking marajuana from a bust, there was a school teacher that said she was a stripper in the summer.... etc

I know I have work related stress and it's not that easy just to go out and find another job especially one that pays as well as my current job. I need to know how I can file disability for work related stress. Do I go to a doctor first for medical proof or talk to Huaman resources? What I really need to is to be out of this enviroment for a few months but as a single mom I can't afford to take unpaid time off but I seriously have an anxiety attack every morning before I come in to work.

I felt the interview went really well. I was told the background check can take anywhere from 2-7 days. When does it become clear that I will not be hearing back from the company and I was not selected? Is it all right to e-mail them about what is going on? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
