I will be starting a new job soon where I basically try to call people in a particular industry and if they aren't happy with their current job I find out what they are looking for and find them that job, then the company who hires them pays me a 'finder's' fee. I just want to do this is a non anoying way to people, to actually help them. Any advice as to what someone could say to you in five seconds that wouldn't anoy the hell out of you?? Thanks

I have an interview for a toddler teacher position at a KinderCare Learning Center tomorrow. I just finished my freshman year of high school and i've never had a real interview before, so any sample questions and/or pointers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I am in need of updating a resume. First question is how far back should I go with past employers. (My last one I was with 11 years) and secondly, is it ok to list a year of in home daycare that I did?

I guess this would also lead me to ask, exactly what is it that makes one an intern instead of an employee if the internship is paid?

i am an extremely bright student with ap classes, involved in clubs, and sports and i know i am going to go to college for a minimum of 6 years. however, i have no major hobbies and i have no idea what i want to be when i "grow up" lol. i want to do something i will enjoy but im just not sure. i am considering being a teacher because i love to help people and i love to be in school but i also want to be financially stable lol. i want to try and discover some really cool jobs that not a lot of people consider but are really interesting jobs that make a good salary. let me know if you have one of these kinds of jobs or you know any ideas for me! thanks y'all! byebye!

I was offered a job at my friends work doing the same exact job I am doing now at my current place. I feel it would be just a waste to switch for the same job, same salary, and frankly lesser benefits. However, my friend and her boss are really excited at the thought of me coming to their place of work and I get a sense that if I decline I will hurt my friend's feelings badly. How do I go about stating a decline to the offer in a friendly way?

My uncle owns a barber shop and one of the employee decided to quit. Does he need to pay for the person's unemployment if they quit? A friend of mine told me that his company did not pay him unemployment because he quit. If he was fired, it would be another thing.

Before I got hired to many companies for last year-and-a-half. They usually got me started right after the test.
Needless to say, I don't do any drugs nor anything else illegal. So there shouldn't be anything in there.
The last test I took. I started to wonder. Still waiting for results. That test facility is too slow. When I start working, I'm going to tell my boss to go to some one else.

I had an interview last week, and just got a call that they want to meet with me again. Will it be more of the same questions? More indepth? More personal?

Although my husbands business is busy (he is the main earner) i dont really contribute to household and associated costs. I train horses to sell them on (but obviously takes a few months to sell each one and reap the benefit) and also do the odd bit of freelance work but this is restricted by the fact i have a 1yr old son who i have to take care of in the week. I have been wondering for a while if there are any sort of businesses that can earn moderate income (£100 per week upwards) with minimum outlay to set it up. Something web based would be ideal??? Any ideas. Thanks.

i want to get certificates to make it more easy for me to attain a job. i have been unemployed for seven months, does this mean i should be doing more and not less courses

were should i follow on from my maths course it's a skills for life one.

i want to work in retail and possibly in an office related job as well

i want some certs to prove that i have good customer service skills

ihave only done 14 months retail work and that isn't enough to get me a job. there is a new charity shop open down my road and they want new staff, maybe six months in there and i can then get that job.

i have eight interviews this year that is why i reckon i don't have enough experience

has anyone every done any works experience. if you wanna try out for a job and ask for this, what is the employers usually response. would an employer prepared to take on a 28 year old on works experience plan.

I have been working at this place for about a year. I started as customer service and then they moved me to programming after they found out I am a computer science major. I haven't really been looking for jobs elsewhere due to being busy with school and work. Is this a good amount? I live in the midwest.

I'm about to apply for several jobs that I feel able to do despite being reliant on a wheelchair. A small part of the jobs is taking notes in meetings (one duty in a list of 15+ so it really is a small part) and because I have painful hands I find writing difficult so wouldn't be able to do this.

If I get an interveiw I would have to inform them about the wheelchair, but should I wait until I'm offered an interview or put it on application form? And at which point should I inform them that they would have to make "reasonble adjustments" to the duties I'm asked to do?

Thanks! :-)

In terms of motivating staff to fill out employee survey. What kinds of things could a manager do if it meets a certain percentage for our group that complete it. I'm looking at silly stuff like volunteer at staff picnic for the dunk tank, wear pj's to work....any other ideas?

I'm 22 just graduated with a Bachelors in MIS (Management Information Systems). Every big time IT job I apply to I know Im getting overlooked by the competition which has a million certifications (A+, MCSE, and so on) and are middle aged with 5 or 6 jobs on thier experience. I have no certs, and I have 2 years of experience (during college with interships) with 2 different jobs.

How can I make a stamp on recruiters and HR personell with my resume and credentials?? Why are 40 yr old men who are overqualified applying to entry-level jobs??? Help!

Have excellent computer skills, software_ QuickBooks Pro Accounting Software, Excel, Access, Word, Good Internet Skills, and Fast learner. I have no real money to invest, I am doing bookkeeping on line via the internet at the present time, but I do not have a degree, I am self taught, but I can also do many other things using the computer, my contract is almost over with this company I am working for now. I really really need to find online work, and I need enough money to support myself, house payment, car payment, utilities, food, gas, etc. I don't have to be rich, but I do need to be able to survive. My health will not permit me any longer to get up at 6:00 am and get home at 6:00 or 7:00 pm. I have 37 years of job experience. Please can any one help me find something?
