I am going to be obtaining a Pharm. D and would like to know if the pay after a ph.d is substantially greater. Can I open my own pharmacy with a pharm. d only? What positions do most ph.d's and pharm d's fill? THANK YOU!!!!!

PhD is not a clinical job. You cannot be a registered, practicing pharmacist with that degree. The average pharmacist probably gets paid more than the average PhD.
PharmDs can be found everywhere in healthcare. You can find them in traditional spots like hospitals and drug stores, and you can find them in managed care and industry.
