The old saying is sales is sales is sales. Once you become a successful salesperson, you can basically sell anything. I find that I have to learn the product, like the product, and convincingly sell the product no matter what kind of product or service it is. Different sales jobs have different potential. Many sales jobs will not give you a chance unless you have prior experience. Learn all you can about sales and start at a smaller company for experience, then move to a more lucrative plan elsewhere. Remember with sales that you will be under constant pressure to produce more. It is not an easy field but it certainly can make you a lot of $$$$$ if you are good at it! Good luck.

Primary requirements are, to be a consumate liar, and have an uncaring attitude towards customers. With these two talents you would also be ideally qualified to become a politician, as the requirements for both positions are identical.

Be a very good liar. Do anything to make money. Sell your mothers eyeballs if you can make a buck. Oh and I almost forgot you must be greedy..greed...greed...greed. Sellout all your moral and ethical thoughts and actions for the almighty dollar . If you can do all that you might be a good salesman.

You have to be confident, know your product line and be aggressive on why they should buy without being pushy. Each company is different. If they see your sales ability, you will move up.
