I used to be a stocker at a grocery store. One day my ill tempered manager threw an all out fit because the peanuts were not stacked to her satisfaction, when I came back from lunch there were peanuts all over the floor and she (for lack of a better phrase) ripped me a new one in front of customers, so I told her I could not put up with her temper and walked out. I'm applying for other jobs now and I need to come up with a way to explain my leaving without making myself look like a bad employee. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Can you give me some suggestions and websites which deal with answers to some of the most asked interview questions. Such as what are your weakness, what has been your greatest challange etc.

I am an engineer and looking at perhaps a website that provides good answers from an engineering standpoint. Any responses will be much appreciated and previous experiences (from entry level engineers) would also help out much.

Thanks

Can anyone remind me?

I know theres some rule isn't there.

Doesn't it go something like

If your a senior person in the company- 1 month

If you're a regular full time employee- 2 weeks

If you're a part timer- 1 week

It's something like that isn't it? Anyone know for sure.

I have taken computer science classes, I have worked retail for over 6 months now... I am a key holder. I have a lot of good qualities... but how do I represent myself better to get a better office/law job. I'm majoring in english with a double minor in political science and business... I want to be a corporate lawyer. Please feel free to email me if you have any suggestions

Please read my other question (Am I wrong to hate my job?!) before answering this one.
Well I quit, that friday (2nd), I went in in person and grabbed my things, announced that I quit, and was told my paycheck would be mailed to me today (fri 9th). The office hours are 8:30-5. I called at 415 to ask if my check made it in the mail, I was informed paychecks aren't mailed, ya gotta come get them. I said well that's good to know 45 minutes before closing, I'm glad someone called and told me considering it had been a week since I quit. No one was going to tell me I have to come pick it up?!? So I said in that case I will be down shortly to get it. The office mgr then said they weren't in yet, she would call me when they were. Now it's 530, office is closed to incoming calls, and I have no paycheck. I don't know how they weren't in yet, the boss writes them up himself, the blanks are right there in his drawer.

I think on a daily basis of not returning the next day, and always suffer from a sore throat, or back ache or headache....the thing is that it took me a long time to find a (full time)job, and when I am unemployed or even when I have a parttime job I get very depressed, nothing worse than being at home alone in my opinion..I feel like I have to choose: depressed or very stressed and always ill....PS I am working as a nursery teacher...lack of staff but no way they can afford any extra people...
