This is an example: If I were getting paid "under the table" Salary based income of $2,000 (flat) a month...and getting a check cut once a week.....how much should my check be each week? Please explain as far as days in months...or what not? How do you determine you are getting paid right if your weekly check is $465? Does this make sense?

I am a resposible14 year old girl ,go to a private school, in year 10, right on course for an A in most of my GCSEs BUT.....
i need money, my parents can only just afford the school fees, bills, and food, and have no money to spare for pocket money. my mum does not work, my dad is retired and we live on his pension, and im a normal teenage girl in need of money. i am not allowed a paper round, makeup seller (basically nothing that goes door to door) i don't know enough people to do babysitting and i think going round asking for jobs like cleaning is just rude. my mum said she'd be ok with me being a cashier or shelf stocker at a supermarket or shop. I have looked online at lots of job sites but they're all for older people, and not the type i need. i can ONLY work on sundays because i have drama on saturday. my mum's ok with me working in oldham or uppermill because they're not far away, any ideas (i don't care if i don't earn much, anythings better than now)
thanks loads :)

I have worked in retail for 13 years, but have just been made redundant. I would love to do something different like secretarial work, pa, or admin ect.

I have been head hunted by a legal solicitors firm who are really keen to arrange to interview me and i would love to get this job so much. I have been with my company for 8 years and am clueless about interviews.

Can anyone out there offer me any tips or advice on how to land the job i would love?

I just got through a 2nd interview with a potential employer and after I left the building I noticed the interview only took 15 minutes. So is this a bad thing, or would you think that the interview was just a formality and they had already decided on me? The interview went well and I didn't step into anything wrong or bad, I even had him laughing once with one of my stories!

I dress well and am informed about the company and the interviewer seems interested in my answers and positive but then I never hear back from the company and then I get a letter saying the position is filled, this has happened to me 30 times. What is it that I am doing wrong?

I am currently unemployed and I am going to college all at home. I want to find a work-at-home job if there is one available that is true and not fake. I want to do this because I have a 5 month old that I am taking care of and if I do find a job that isn't a work-at-home job, no one will be able to take care of my baby. I've searched on the internet about working at home. There are paid surveys available and they seem too good to be true. I'm currently taking a Med. Term. course to be able to work at home until my baby gets older, but that course takes time. I want to be able to get a job while a am taking the couse. Any suggestions? (Please not, "look for a Nanny or a relative to watch over your baby while you find a job out the home.") Thanks for reading.

Hi everyone, I live in Pennsylvania and I have some questions on wrongful termination. A friend of mine and me both work for a local grocery store. My friend has been accused of stealing from this store and has been terminated. I will give you a little back ground of how this all went down. She was taken into the back office of the store and questioned for a well over a hour till she finally caved and signed a confession. She felt threatened to sigh and she also felt they would not let her leave until she did so. The manager of this store claims to have this act of theft on store security tapes but refused to allow her to view the tape. She was also accused of telling another a employee how to steal and get away with it but when she asked for the names of her accusers they refused to provide her with it. My question to everyone is legally can a business do this?? What are her rights and what possible recourse does she have? Thank you for your time.

Thank you for taking the time to interview me on Tuesday, March 6 2007 for the position of Medical Receptionist. As you get closer to the decision of whom to hire for this position, I would like to restate that skill and adaptability are the first two words that come to mind when asked to describe my qualifications. "Can Do" and "Will Do" are the watchwords that describe my attitude. I realized that I have the initiative, intelligence, and common sense that characterize success in this field. I also recognized that my education and employment experiences have given me a strong foundation from which to build a significant career. I enjoyed talking with you and found the interview most informative. The prospect of joining your team is very exciting. Hopefully you will consider me for this position.
Please let me know if you require any additional information. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you in the very near future.
Sincerely,

Is it just a matter of what location they chose and how many hours they want to work? Can a doctor's office nurse go work in an ER if they wanted to or is it a different certification?

Currently I am on a long term assignment with a Temp agency where I get paid $12/hr. I start work in the afternoon which gives me time to look for something else.

Now, I am being offered a job that pays close to $15 per hour but have to work 8am to 5pm. This is also a Temp job with a possibility to go permanent. The problem is if I need to go to an interview for another job I can't during my own time since my work time interferes.

Should I take this job?, or more importantly, how can I go to an interview (if one popped up) with this work schedule without looking suspicious?

There may be a possibility that I may like this job, just thinking ahead for now.

Thanks.

I'm thinking about a career in careers guidance counselling (in England) which I know now falls under the Connexions service. I was just wondering what people thought about it as a career. Is it rewarding? Having already worked in social services I am aware of the difficult people that you deal with but what I want to know do you feel as though you're making a difference and is it worthwhile?
